    Update...

    Done
    • Go through the stuff to be disposed of and sort it into potential dress shop, charity shop and Ebay. (Well this is effectively done, although some of it needs washing and ironing. Glad it really is the final bagful now!) I might have found a couple of Forgotten Shop Freebies in there too.
    • Talk to techie friends about secure storage for scanned documents

    Still to do - tomorrow
    • Call dress shop about those options.
    • Charity shop stuff to be removed from the house AND CAR - ie dropped off at charity shop not continuing to clutter up the car instead.
    • Check the car tyre pressures, washer fluid etc
    • Email the landlord re one repair and some improvements

Still to do - by Wednesday
    • Get an outline draft of my dissertation done, the deadline is creeping up
    • Check the uni site for submission requirements (so I don't do the get-it-through-plagiary-check-machine-at-2am thing)
    • Spend some time tidying the poor garden. It's looking very unloved and I'd like to be able to spend time out there soon.

That should mean Kondo Phase 1 is done by end of tomorrow, except for the selling. Phase 2 is documents which makes sense for me as it would free up wardrobe space - so will get onto that next weekend.

get that rosemary out and schedule an hour a day towards the dissertation
do one job off your list then dissertation then another job etc
you are like I was - the disertation will be the last thing to get started and you will be up all night - we had to have ours bound so the first thing I did was going in and ask how long it would take :) binder said when I dropped it off it would be an hour as I could queue jump :)

I too am hoping to finish phase one shortly - two more weeks for me I think as when I have done all the clothes in the bedroom I will move onto coats - but I do want to do all piles in the bedroom so I have a haven :)

I freely admit that I'm more of a dog person, but aren't purring cats the most relaxing and *happy sigh* thing?

And Missus A's right - stop frogging that dissertation, Rosa!

Frog marching orders duly noted :D

    So... plans rejigged a bit.

Final load of charity shop stuff washed, will be ironed tomorrow. I haven't taken any of it to the shop yet but am intending to take the household stuff to a local homelessness charity tomorrow afternoon. Clothes, books etc may have to wait either til the weekend or another trip if I have time.

Dress shop are only interested in one, and want photos emailing, so I will do that along with all the Ebay photos. Glad I asked though as hopefully I will get a better price from them.

Sorted out my dissertation notes and instructions - will be doing some of that later tonight and throughout tomorrow. I also remembered that I'm in the city for work on Wednesday so can stop off at the bigger library then if there are any articles I can't find. In fact, I may order some books online tonight. I am not going to be cross with myself for leaving it later than I could have done, because that would only stress me and not help anything - and I do have a plan and plenty of time to execute it.

The clearout buzz has kicked in a bit more and I've started tidying my 'studying' bookshelf. This is way overdue - I've kept my files in case I need to refer to them but because I was so stressed and ill during the masters, they don't have entirely positive associations - I look at them and think 'OMG I'm not doing anything properly and I'm soooo tired' not 'look these are the interesting things I learnt'. So I think I will start with these for the paperwork exercise and go through them to get everything scanned. That way I will still be able to print things off if I want, but the files will be removed and it will all feel done and put away. It will also make space for my current study files too. Really surprised how pleased I am with that decision, I have been avoiding that corner of the room and didn't realise it!

The garden is going to have to wait :( but I think I will try and do some time there in the evenings now it's light.

Sooo... plodding a little faster now and feeling like the load is getting lighter! :)

Absolutely - though they are less than helpful when they insist on sitting on your lap while you're typing. Especially the little one, who occasionally grabs my hand if she thinks the clattering is keeping her awake. :rotfl:

Well it seems I do get a cost of living pay rise this year after all. Probably only amounts to £20 a month, but that's £20 I didn't have before and wasn't expecting :)

Yup, mine especially likes 'sit on keyboard while working, or her fav is go nuts to be let out while I'm on a conf call, or a fac game of lets play in the carrier bags and make loads of noise' :rotfl:

Sounds like you're doing well Rosa. Though personally unless stuff is really bad, I wouldn't bother washing stuff for a CS, most people would wash something before wear anyway.

That said, I freshedned up a few bits for the car boot today, things got blown over quite a bit yesterday in the wind and it gets dusty there so the whites were looking a bit mucky.

Also been sorting here (after work of course) car boot stuff away, have deff got a reduction in things even if the number of boxes hasn't really reduced, they are emptier. Bags of clothes reduced, some sold and a few going to the CS. now finally feel I have room to sort out some more stuff. Don't know where it all comes from, I don't really buy that much for the house.

Purring cats are wonderful = but I have a tiny russian toy terrier (Mishka) who loves to type messages for me - problem is I am sure he does not understand get off = perhaps its because he is russian

love the fact you are getting an unexpected payrise - as you say not a lot but so much better than you were thinking it would be this year :)

:rotfl:I don't work from home much at the minute, but will have to watch them if I do. Particularly as we now have videoconf!

True, I usually wash or steam clean things and I know the shops often do too - but the nicer it looks when it goes in the easier it will be to sell. And I have a mild paranoia about what people are thinking when they go through the donation bags :o.

Well done with the car booting - and I see what you mean about having space for sorting, it's all easier when there is space to move things to!
