Plodding cheerfully on
Have caught up on washing and ironing, Kondo'd that remaining box of shoes (results: one bin, one Ebay, rest taken from Forgotten Shop into wardrobe) and also sorted a box of small bags (results rather more embarrassing: several for Ebay including three of the same bag in different colours still with labels on- they weren't expensive but still - and half a dozen shifted into the same box as all the other bags). One more shelf in the wardrobe done which will probably turn out half keep and half charity shop. I find I feel much more positive about letting things go now, probably because I'm not worrying about whether needing to replace it will detour DF plans. It seems a good time to have a clearout, and I've let some things go that have been around way too long and have too many memories tied to them.
Hoping next weekend will give a bit of time for studying and also some more tidying... might manage to finish up the clothes and there is also the garden which is in dire need of TLC.
Hope everyone's had a good weekend and we're all refreshed and positive ready to kick Monday morning's behind

Plenty of pralines for everybody. I had no idea the pole was going to be so popular, maybe we should have two
Well today I have marked the Last Card account as closed on YNAB, and made myself a new category of credit accounts because... I can now close and hide the Pre-YNAB Debt category! :j_party_
I remembered to take lunch to work - only supermarket soup from the freezer but still no spend - and have some for tomorrow too. It's not quite an NSD as I've bought a Kindle book.
I shall also now confess to an order from the sale at my favourite online shop, but it doesn't matter as it's going back anyway. Both things were half price so would have been worth pulling next month's clothes budget but the shoes are really small - feels like by 2 sizes - and sadly the dress is really a size too small too (I knew that when I ordered it but worth a try and it meant I got free delivery). I'm annoyed as now I wish I'd tried the right size at full price but too late, it's sold out everywhere. But I have now added that make and size to my Ebay searches so hopefully one will come up there. That method has worked very nicely with my other favourite makes.
It's now very nearly the end of the month and YNAB is showing April as forecast a little over budget at present - that will not be helped by going out tomorrow evening, but it's a friend I rarely see so worth it. I can try and make up for it later in April with Ebay and minding my grocery budget.
I've got naff all done in the house this evening and I don't care :rotfl:

Rosa great you want to get a few pots topped up
will the vet one be enough with wormers and flea treatments etc or do you just pay them as they turn up
They are on a payment plan with our local P@H vets so I just pay a set amount every month - it's brilliant. It covers their boosters, flea stuff, worming stuff and an extra check up and I never have to worry about budgeting for it. http://www.companioncare.co.uk/our-health-plan.html
They are also insured which is clearly budgeted monthly so the bills fund is only really there to cover any excess charges. I set the excess quite high, as for me the main reason for the insurance is if they were to have an accident and need surgery. So I need to pay the first £150 or so and I'd like to have that plus a bit extra put aside. Possibly I should go for £300 since as you say it might be difficult if they both needed vet trips at once!I hope the dress is exactly what you want it to be
any chance of a picture on here
Well if anybody's interested
It's LK Bennett which I love but obviously won't pay for new!

Well into new month and its budget... haven't put in costs of last night's meal yet so will be back with that later today or on Friday.
Dress is lovely but atm not terribly flatteringI think I'd better call the personal trainer. It can stay for a while til I figure out whether it will end up OK or to just send it back to Ebay.

Happy Easter everybody
No change in the chocolate intake herebut am having a spring clean. The place is an absolute TIP as am still Kondo-ing clothes but seem to have found vast amounts I am suddenly happy to let go of
:T .
Spends wise have stocked up on food and skin care stuff and just ordered a couple of underbed boxes that DO have lids to replace some of the current ones that don't (so let stuff get dusty and allow the small cat to creep in and sleep on things).
Will be back with an update later...

Pleased to report that all my clothes, bags and travel stuff have now been categorised if not quite fully Kondo-ed. I can actually move the hangers in my wardrobe, the Ebay stack has increased and I think I've decided that I am not and am unlikely to become the kind of person who travels with a separate vanity case. (I bought a suit carrier and vanity case when I was doing a lot of overnights for work, but as I haven't used them in five years I think we can safely say I'll manage with a suitcase.)
Everything that needs mending is in one place, the winter clothes to be washed tomorrow are in one place and I've found the pretty Cath Kidst0n luggage tags I was looking for a couple of weeks ago too:). I have one more black bag of things for Ebay/ charity to sort - it's summer stuff so has been in the cupboard for months and I can't remember what's in there
which could mean it can definitely go but just might also mean Forgotten Shop treasures. And I remembered that there is a dress shop in town which might take a couple of the branded occasion dresses so will give them a call in the week.
Next stop will be documents, partly because KonMari says so but also because I have a rather pretty new paperwork file. I have got fed up with the ringbinder style FlyLady control journal type things - so much stuff is online now I really don't need to carry paper office things around - and yesterday I found a card file box in the charity shop which has monthly dividers, a drawer for pens underneath and is big enough that A4 papers can go in each month if folded in half. It also has a design of houses on the outside and looks SO much prettier than files so that will be my new paperwork system. And it cost me a whole £2.50 :money: :rotfl:

Well done with the sorting Rosa I did our paperwork a few weeks ago - I have a file that my DM bought me before I went to uni, and also got one for the house stuff too. I do like to keep records of all cc etc I've had when I've closed them, just to have a note of the account number in case I need them in the future (we had to get a load of OH's to reclaim charges a while back and its easier if you have the account details at least)
I need to get some clothes to the dry cleaners (winter coats etc, and a suit that OH needs cleaning, though not sure if there's any point as it currently doesn't fit him). Hopefully doing a CB soon so will have a good sort out - this might be a last one for a bit, in a way if stuff doesn't sell this time, I just want it gone so it might be freecycled / charity shopped.
