Oh those things are pretty robust, I don't think you'd really manage to make a dent in it - all an optical illusion! *nudges pole upright*
Then again a few more cocktails and we could use it for limbo... :rotfl:Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Happy DF day Rosa:beer::beer::beer: Sorry I'm a bit late to the party.
I think when I first started following your diary you were at about £10k? Whatever it was, it was a big figure and you're posts have been both inspirational and amusing
But....I have a confession to make - just as you are becoming debt free I am jumping back on the credit train as I am buying a new car- will probably need to re-read your diary to keep me on track
Big well done again :TIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Thanks Vasseur :A *passes Vasseur cocktail and party popper*
Yes, I re-read this thread the other day and I think I started with at least £9K. At its worst I owed about £14K. So not bad for the time, though I did notice that the thing that's really made the difference for me is the secondments at work that have made the extra income available.
Hope you enjoy your new car - what kind are you getting? And sensible credit is well, sensible... it's when we get distracted and use it in the wrong ways that it's a problem.
(Also you may have noticed my confession that I still owe my parents for my 'car loan' - I haven't counted it in my lists because it's so flexible, but morally I do need to pay that off too. I will be upping the payments soon. )
Now, name your cocktail...

Yes I did notice you had a car loan from your parents and it made me feel a bit better. How does anyone get a decent car these days unless they get a loan or it's a company car? It's just the idea of taking out a significant amount of credit that doesn't sit easy with me having been debt free for over 3 years....however my current car is 11 years old and I've had it for 9 of them. I haven't even had a relationship THAT longIt doesn't owe me anything but it is just starting to go wrong.
I am looking to get a N1ssan Jooke....have finally decided that I'd quite like something super! It does mean that I will have to be really focused on keeping track of my money but I'm usually better with it when i have very little in my account - every penny is watched like a hawk....it's when i have loads sloshing around that i just fritter it away....

As for the pole - when explains things to hubby ( blame one to many cocktails) he thinks I most likely need practice, as an engineer getting the HEAVY DUTY pole and fixings won't be a problem) what have you started:eek:
