    5...

days to payday and clearing that Last Card...

Still on track - had to buy lunch again today but haven't been spending on groceries and remembered to claim some petrol on expenses, so that evened it out. I have been rubbish at cooking this week but have the weekend clear so will be doing some tidying and sorting and will hopefully be more organised next week.

Also went to check whether the car tax expired this month or next, thinking it was a bit odd I hadn't had an email reminder... I'd forgotten I changed the car :rotfl:so my tax now runs from the summer not the spring. The car costs pot is on track so I will just leave it alone unless needed - but it is a little more flexibility than I thought I had, so a nice surprise as well as a blonde moment :D.

Not even going there re college fees... on the downside what they told me appears to be wrong, on the bright side if I'm reading the fees policy correctly (and there are only two options, one of which I don't think they can argue for) it should be about £150 less than I thought. So will go back to phoning them daily next week - sigh :/

    Hello Rosa,

Well I've read the first page of your diary this evening and am excited to get more up to date. You've had a great start to the year so far.

I will be back next week for more reading.

    MT x

    Hello MT, welcome! :hello:

Wow, Rosa that is great news on both the debt and the job and the moving :)

I know exactly what you mean about the arriving at the station and stumbling about for a bit. I paid off my cc at the start of the month with money I had saved up and it felt good but surprising....I keep looking at my bank account and the cc account just to check it really happened.

any how good luck with it all, so good to read :) XXXX

Thanks Buffy - sorry just found your post don't know how I missed it before!

Snap, I know exactly what you mean about checking accounts... still looking for the other card bills every month :o

Bah to the college fees Rosa (though yay if they are cheaper) it's a joke the way colleges and unis expect students to be 100% organised, getting to study on time, managing work load etcetera but it seems a good proportion of them couldn't manage basic admin if their lives depended on it.

Yay to cc day getting closer, hang in there and remember all those good habits you've built up that have got you to this stage (no more buying lunches lol) x

Uni admin is just as bad in all the ones I've been to... to be fair I am an unusual case this time but it's still not helpful. I shall also only pay 95% of the final amount anyway since it's not MY fault I couldn't pay by the early bird deadline and get the 5% discount, I'll pay it right away as soon as they get the numbers correct!

I was intending to go shopping for lunches stuff today but have got rather distracted by Kondo-ing so might just make risotto and go tomorrow. Oops, hang on, I'm out of the office on Monday so that lunch is free :D

How are things in Kerri world? Are you still doing pole class? I re-read this thread last night and noticed that I still haven't got round to contacting the pole school - could do that next month when I have some spare cash again :)

Am halfway through KonMari-ing my second drawer and I may just be the latest convert :rotfl:

I seem to have already cleared half a drawer's space and ditched a bunch of Ikea drawer dividers! Plus I can see everything at once!

Off to look up how to fold the socks... I cannot believe I just wrote that... :rotfl:

things are good, thanks for asking Rosa. I finally feel over that stinking cold I came back from Scotland with at the end of feb. Work is super busy still and I'm still running and boot camping, and yes, still at pole. Was trying to work out tonight if it's 7 or 8 years I've been going. Which makes me feel I should be much better than I am but hey ho. Reached a bit of a plateau in class atm, or so I feel, need to revisit old moves I can do well or should perfect rather than keep trying new ones badly. Do let me know if you sign up x

Oddly but interestingly I've had an anxiety wobble the last couple of days, thinking I should sort some work in the evenings but really not wanting to as I'm on leave. Decided this evening that actually it really can wait til tomorrow morning, and feel rather better. Not sure what triggered it, maybe just a tad of overcompensation in deciding I need to focus better in my current role. Anyway, fingers crossed I get all caught up tomorrow and it goes away again.

    Aren't these things odd?

They really are odd. I went through a period where full on panic attacks were a real issue, and even though I'm considerably better now, I still have the odd wobble. For me the wobbles are a reminder that I need some head space and general tlc (starting with a cuppa and a biscuit to dunk in it). Have a think about what was going on at the time, and you might find the same applies.xx

Glad your cold has gone - it's funny how they can hang on and make a nuisance of themselves.

I will keep you posted re both pole and running - will be talking to personal trainer about running this week, and will see about pole maybe next month.

Aw thank you Nora :A wobbles are no fun are they.

I think it was mostly about work and the balance between bored-and-sulking versus in-control-and-being-taken-for-granted. I've got myself a bit more organised and feel a bit more confident about being able to both take on things I want and say no to things that aren't appropriate. I do need a bit more of a plan but OTOH it is a Plan B and I have a Plan A to focus on for the next year :D
