You're running short of time...
Do it today!
Shopping done, cards not done but will write them over Christmas anyway - I know they will be a little late, but it's a chance to write people a note that I won't get round to at all otherwise.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Payday shuffle... all done now as I know I'm unlikely to get it sorted on the usual date!
All looking OK. I've cleared the CC early just so I can see zeroes on YNAB at the end of the year - but have just realised it will be £24 over as there's something I need to return! Oh well, what a nice problem to have! :rotfl:
There is £50 still in the grocery budget which I won't need and can be reshuffled to eating out while I'm away. I've put most of the spare money this month into the holiday pot, so that if I do need accommodation or have more travel costs I won't feel guilty about it - if it's not needed (as the plans are still being sorted!) it can be left there for later in the year or reshuffled. The gifts pot is still very healthy and I will cut down payment to this over the next couple of months as there aren't any birthdays etc coming up and the money can be better used elsewhere. I still have an expenses payment to come which will hopefully arrive before the end of the month, but I'm not going to bank on it so that can just be allocated when it turns up.
So... my last budget of 2016, of the year I got debt free! And I would not have believed at the start of this year that I'd be ending it with the figures currently in that budget. My YNAB Age of Money is currently 56 days, so I'm living on money from close to two months ago. And I have a mortgage agreed... even if I'm still sorting out the actual house purchase. All looking very different to this time last year, and very positive for 2017. Thank you again MSE :money:and forum friends :A - couldn't've done it without you! :T:A:kisses3: :j

Well I've been brave and gone through my receipts for the holiday period... and actually it looks OK
My holiday budget seems to have covered things and I had enough flexibility for the accidental clothes spending when I found a couple of fab things on my travels.
I had a mixed NYE but a lovely New Year's Day and am a little grumpy at being back in the very messy flat, particularly as I've come back to an issue that the landlord needs to fix... but have some time this week and weekend to relax and I plan to do a bit of thinking about how I'd like 2017 to turn out.
I hope you all had fab holidays and that the new year is bringing you wonderful things!

Amazon is bringing me cheap things - does that count?

Sunday shuffle... scooting by as the weekend seems to have escaped me and there are still things to do!
YNAB is up to date and all looks fine. I dropped the car into the garage to fix a wiper issue and got them to give it new front tyres at the same time - possibly not the cheapest way to do it, but I trust them for quality and a reasonable price, and anywhere else would have charged me for fixing the wiper thing which they didn't.
The flat issue has meant buying ready meals, awaiting an enormous electric bill (there is water involved so have had the heaters on full time) and spending silly amounts of time cleaning. I've already told the landlord I expect a significant rent reduction and have - oops - failed to mention that I'm expecting to buy somewhere shortly anyway. So it's not disastrous that I am doing some of the cleaning now, and it's done me good to clear out the last few bits of the flat that hadn't been visited in the clutter purges. I'm going to pick up some archive boxes on the way home tomorrow and the stuff I don't often use can just go in there rather than be packed twice. Grateful that none of my own stuff has been damaged - pretty amazing really - and that it's been fixed so fast.
I've finally sent in a ShopNScan tonight after not doing it for ages - CBA with the receipts, but the clicker stuff has gone through. I really need to sort out paperwork as it's turning into a clutter monster in my room but it may have to wait til later in the week when I've got the flat issue sorted.
Dashing off now as I am trying to adjust my sleep cycle to daylight hours now that the things I need to get done require daylight and not just studying in the small hours! I feel in a really good place at present - so pleased to have finally finished my training and no longer be worrying about money. I'm intending to make some plans for the year but they will look very different to previous ones as I want this year to be all about connection and contentment.
