  • All sounding good :)

  • Super quick Sunday shuffle as sadly there are too many other things I should be doing :(

Budget is all fine. I forgot that my business insurance for next year was due but there's room to reshuffle and cover it. And need to claim expenses but will wait til Wednesday as I will have a mileage claim from Tuesday.

In other news most things are well but I just feel I haven't enough time for fun stuff and home stuff. I am still behind on my extra contract work, and also still behind on my assignment. I really need to get these caught up so I can feel free again but work commitments are making it difficult. Also, although I have some annual leave left I can't really take any as I will need to move before I get my new allocation. And that's without Christmas, which is going OK gift wise but I may have to give up on the idea of cards. I've already given up on decorating as it's just too much hassle with all the other stuff that's currently crammed in the flat - I can make up for it next year :) .

So I guess I need to keep myself well and try to relax and be organised... it will all be fine :)

    Thanks Sam :A

It will be OK - I think in a way I'm just getting impatient :rotfl:. I've spent so long doing too much academic stuff and I am so looking forward to moving and being able to go into home and cosy mode. I'm just thrilled at the idea of having a new place to look after and make my own, and have time to spend on reading for fun and cooking properly :j

    Not long now :D

  • I too agree with Sam that your new place will be wonderful, not long now.

Find a little bit of time for you though.

  • Itchy feet - that's what you've got. Once you've done all the legwork you reach that point, I think, of just wanting everything to happen RIGHT NOW! We;re not doing christmas decs this year either as with going away it barely seems worth it. I will grab out my xmas tealight holders and pop those on the mantle though - best £2 I ever spent at poundland, buying those two some years ago! :D

I think you're right EH - sensing change and getting ready for it, and wanting to get on with it!

  • Well there is a change of plan for the holidays as the cattery had a cancellation and can take the furries despite shockingly short notice - I only asked so I could say I had! So will be going away for the whole lot, first to family and then for new year with a friend. Even a possibility of a trip in the same direction as EH, though not in the precise area! Very excited now!

Had a bit of a spendy moment and bought a party dress on 3bay, and pjs from Whit3 Co (at 40% off though) - though that was before the change of plans so I actually feel less guilty now I will have more use for them! The mogs boarding will cost but I don't mind as I have some money in the holiday pot and another payday, plus house fees are already covered :)

Congratulations on the mortgage offer and the chance to get away for a while too.

I'm not able to put up christmas decorations either so have been playing christmas songs and have christmas scented candles which is boosting the mood. I've found a beautiful playlist for piano covers of christmas songs as I like it as background music rather than having "IT'S CHRRIIIIIISSTTTMMMAAASSS" blaring through the speakers. I love that song, but there's only a specific amount of christmas songs so they're on a bit of a loop.

    When are you going away?
