Not much snow at work but lots at home, it always amazes me the difference in the weather just under 40 miles away.
DH is marking exams and I am trying not to start eating the bread which just came out of the breadmaker. I need him to hurry up so we can eat dinner as I am ravenous!
In the meantime, my bathroom is spotless and everything is packed for Oxfam to collect tomorrow morning.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

I already filled it with potatoes, it is now down the toilet!!!! To aid in my recovery from clutziness, I have just poured a large whisky, dont like the stuff particularly, and havent drunk it for several years, but the bottle was open unlike the bombay ! Two things may happen- I will finally get a sleep, or I will spend the evening posting gibberish on farcebook and spend tomorrow like a bear with a burnt bahookie...........RIP Iain

Hi all
A snow day for me as school has been closed so finally have time to catch up. Been MIA for few months, lots of changes inc. house move and DH losing job and daft really as know all you lovely people on here are so supportive (and were when it all started). DH now has another job so we are playing catching up on bills which I am gutted about as we had finally got straight. That said I know we are in far better position than many, have roof over our heads, food in our bellies and jobs so wont complain anymore. DD got off to Uni and is enjoying the studies/student life (and learning a quick lesson in budgeting as bank of mum and dad is empty). DS is enjoying college and doing well. Have been trying to catch up on news here, so sorry to hear of losses and think all coping so well. few posts have made me smile too. OS have done washing and only tumbled few bits, rest on airer, for dinner we had curry and naan breads from dough made in BM. Did Asd@ shop on way home from work yesterday so have plenty of food in, man on checkout said people were panic buying and snow is only expected to last of 3 days.
Thoughts to all.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Well done Tessa:T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
JackieO good news for Tessa, she must be delighted.
We've been very fortunate with the snow. We did have some while I was at work, but it was light, and when I got home it looked like there had been a dusting here, similar to what we had earlier this week.
It is snowing now however, and the forecast is for more over the weekend, especially Sunday.
I don't have to go out this weekend. Might walk down the post office tomorrow to post a parcel, but apart from that I'll probably be insideEarly retired - 18th December 2014

We haven't had much snow. DH got to Cheshire and back safely. He said the only problem was the amount of salt on the road-had to keep clearing the windscreen.
Have just spoken to DDs-both down south. One got to work but then it was decided to close the office so was sent home at 10 a.m. The other was complaining that it was only 61 degrees in her office-they got on to the maintenance department who said that the heating was on full but it couldn't cope with the extreme cold!
I don't think we'll be going walking tomorrow-too cold and I've just looked at the Buxton weather site-some of the roads out there are quite bad.0 -
Mrsd welcome back, sorry to hear about your H's job but good news he got another one
