Son has been sent back from college. He had to wait ages for a bus and there was none running on the way back so he's had to walk. There was no notification of any closure on the college website but since only half of the kids turned up and just a few of the tutors it was thought best to send them home.
It really is pretty nasty out there.:(

afternoon everyone,
Sorry i haven't read back the past few days, but i will.
So hugs and commiserations for those suffering loss and bad news.
I have felt well the past few days and any time on the pc was giving me a migraine and making me feel sick.
Hope all keeping warm, i know were trying, but so hard in a drafty house.
Been a nightmare of paperwork, OH hasn't sat down for months so do the accounts. Its a like a mountain, i started it yesterday but still haven't finished.
OH is installing a boiler, so yay on the work front.
Think were going to have some kind of stew tonight with bread. I made quite a bit yesterday and we still have some left so its all good.
Back in a bit x0 -

Well that's the Girls school shut.
They are trying to contact as many people as they can to pick there kids up.
They do have one of these text message services. But the service has gone down! So they are slowly phoning people up.
My MIL works as a support teacher at the school so she contacted us.
As for the other there are around 700 kids at the school so it will take time to contact everyone they need too. I bet they are hoping that parents will pass the word around to each other.
Most of the other few local schools that were open are also now going to be shutting early.
The main road that we have to walk along to school was flowing freely when the kids went to school this morning. There was also very little snow on that road. If only that were true now.!
The main cars and vans are now hardly moving! and the road is covered with snow and slush.
We had just over 2" of snow In the garden 3 hours ago. I don't know what we have now but its been snowing fast since then. I will go out and check later.
Well Im hope that you are all well and safe.
Im off to rest my legs now as today's walking has killed me
Enjoy:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Molly - why is DD in contact with her tutor via FB?! Unless it's a college page, that's quite unethical. And even if it is a college page she should not get grief. Hope dog is better soon x
Her tutor has known her for a good few years, but yes I was not happy last time it happened. They have a private support group now but she has posted on her regular wall before. Anyway we are gridlocked around here so I made the right decision :TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
