Just had a knock on the door, R, my neighbour has offered to pick ds2 up from school. She's always telling me off for attempting to pick him up on crutches. so i won't be out today.
Just hope ds1 gets the bus home, yesterday it went early and left half the kids at school  Shocking behaviour, luckily i had money for a taxi.
  • Good afternoon all,
Just started to snow again. We had a fair bit overnight. Hubby took me to work. The main roads weren't too bad but our country roads weren't good at all.
Washing is on the airer. Cake in the oven whilst tea is cooking. We are having chicken chasseur with roast potatoes and vegetables.
No plans to go out over the weekend at all. Got some essentials yesterday that i needed so no need to go shopping.
redruby, that is great news :j
kezlou, hope your son gets home ok. That is awful behaviour from the bus driver. Nice of your neighbour to pick up your son.
I hope everyone has a good rest of the day and hugs to those who need them.

popping back to say it's still snowing here, hasn't let up at all. Media do make me chuckle to myself mind you. FB, if you've had Welsh channels on, it brings to mind the Scottish bloke from Dad's Army . . .We're all doooooooomed. :rotfl: I'm slap bang in middle of HoV and we're no strangers to being snowed in, just a shame I've got dwti (short and stumpy) legs with the depth of snow we now have . . .

I avoid the tv channels on days like this :rotfl:. It's just stopping now here, roads seem clear so I'm off out in a bit to collect my friend from train station. All accounts say the roads into town are fine so should be ok. If not he will have to walk to as far as I get! Keep warm! x

Thanks so much all for your healing vibes, Ivy is doing remarkably well, on Monday I thought we would have to make an awful decision, even the vet is surprised at her progress, so fingers crossed we have her for another while yet. Weatherwise it is very cold and sleety here, but not sticking - yet! I hope it doesn't but it certainly looks like a weekend to stay indoors. Will read back thread when I get home, I really shouldn't be on here from work. Take care of yourselves, I will keep all the poorlies, both human and furry/feathered and finned in my thoughts, I may be back later.

Hardly a covering here, very fine stuff, it has settled but nothing pure white. I need some good vibes from you all for Sunday, no snow from here to London, down to the Chunnel, and to Rouen, where we are due to be Sunday night. Near DS's could be interesting as Crouch End is very hilly.

Tonight we are being taken out for tea by some caravanning friends who have moved in near to us, and we have been helping them, and finding them workmen as they have virtually re-built the place, you wouldn't think they are in their early 70's. So F&C at a nearby pub. Just checking out what fresh stuff I have, but this weather the boots is as good as a fridge, or even a freezer!! Will put some dough on in the morning and make some rolls, easier when travelling. I think I am organised now, did my last shop at A$da today, with bits I wanted to take with us, and called in £stretcher and got some bird food, it has all been reduced. Our kind neighbour who looks after our home for us, will keep the bird feeders topped up.

Molly & Molly dog, and Cait healing vibes for you
    Ruby well done
Uloypool, Jools, LW and anyone else who'd likeone (((hugs)))) for you.

Take care everyone, stay warm and safe, DG
