But as a Scot moving to England, surely that would make me an immigrant?

Aren't you trying to claim you already have too many? :rotfl:

    A poor excuse.

So are the Scots welcoming immigration as opposed to the English? Personally, I do not believe in the Scottish/English divide. I've lived in Scotland.

    Nope.

I'm just noting that your posts earlier in particular, contained numerous false claims, made up stories, and racist nonsense.

It must be so easy to enter a weird state of reality when you are sat at PC 24/7 and not mixing in the real world.

Wow, you still think people have to be at home on their PC-s when they're posting?

You should really try one of these.....

I cannot think of one person that even comes close to Hamishes so call "pro" immigration stance in the real world, homeowners and renters alike.

I think the major difference between many of us and Hamish is that most of us do not want to be rich at the expence of living in an over crowded toilet.

I DO NOT want my culture anymore diluted by the arrival of 100,000's of non skilled Bulgarians and Romanians, if they want to go to Scotland then thats fine.

Immigration is making us poorer not richer. We have so much debt that we cannot possibly pay it back and we cannot afford the schooling, NHS, policing and other services for mass immigration.

And the racists, bigots and xenophobes spend a lot of time denying the facts, denying the evidence, and claiming they aren't that way at all.

But the evidence of positive benefits to immigration are so overwhelming, there can simply be no other reason to argue against it.

As I've noted before, if you think immigration is really a serious problem for this country you are either a racist, bigot or xenophobe, or you are not intelligent enough to understand the (admittedly quite complex) economic and social benefits.
Would not controlled immigration (picking the most useful to the UK) be a much better option than an open border?

That is an economically illiterate position to take.

Boston is attractive to immigrants because of work opportunities. Statistically there is also a very low uptake of benefits and housing by these immigrants. Also Bulgarians and Romanians have the option of going to any other country in the EU. Its a scare story propagated by UKIP and Migration Watch looney tunes with little basis in fact. There may be an issue but it is hugely exaggerated.

    Are you for real?

Are you sure about this? I suggest you take your nose out of the "reports" Hamish has handed over to you and actually visit some of these places. When the lady on question time said Boston is at Breaking point......she wasn't kidding.

They do - but still many are likely to come here. Pointing out that they have the option to go to other countries and that it is "different this time" is just a desperate attempt to try and ignore what will really happen. That excuse will be quoted a lot by the Tories between now and Jan 2014.

Tell me then, how immigration is going to repay our trillions of pounds of debt?
