I got a call from these just now, and while i've been on the phone i've looked it up. This is not good, do not fall for it. They are just cold callers they will rob and steal from you and you won't see a single penny back! The number to contact them back on that they provide is also fake as you call it and after 6 minutes 'good-bye'.
They will not phone again.
frauds the lot of them plus they patronise you over the phone. do not fall for it, plus now i'm realising that it's no good writing this on here because people will come here for answers - when its too late. Luckily i managed to !!!! of the 'rep' by lying to him so i wont be hearing back from him or ifonic or the stupid triple barrelled name they made up.
yep after the 4th time of phoning back to see what the deal is - they certainly are fakestaz.
cold calling - don't fall for it. It's an illusion - ah
just as I'm writing this on the 4th time of calling them - the number goes to a mobile phone of someone else - not ifonic. I had to warn
him
- so you phone them and - non existent transfer to another phone
hang on 5th time-
ifonic. So I complained to them and just about cancelled everything. The non existent claim. woman on the phone - 'okee then byee' - very unprofessional.
No don't touch them with a barge pole.0 -
Just to let you know I have now been contacted by 3 companies that I have complained about so Ifonics must be doing something.0

They will send out template letters to the companies. They will hope something sticks. You may wish to see copies of those template letters to make sure they havent made fraudulent allegations in your name.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Got a call from these guys today. I receive a lot of cold calls but as the guy on the other end was Welsh (as am I) I kinda humoured him for 25 mins. All sounded great. Offered me a 90 something percent chance of getting at least £5300 back.
I was a little suspicious when he asked me when my latest CC is due to expire... then about 5 mins later he tells me that I'll have to pay a £XXX up front fee to cover legal expenses and that he needs my card info.
I made my excuses and hung up.
I wouldn't say I was taken in (obviously as they didn't get any payment info from me), but they DO sound convincing. Watch out for these guys. I've no idea whether they're legit or not, but to be honest, in my experience nobody legit asks for £600 over the phone prior to investigating anything. I've been through a few legitimate PPI claims companies who ask for nothing except a percentage of the final claim.
Oh, hello by the way. First time here.
PS: Don't get me started on Wine Investments!0 -
Had a call - insisted on calling me back when less busy. I was going to be given £48,000 in 'refunds' due to my various cards and two previous mortgages. I said 'well it wont hurt to try, as I shall not get around to it myself.' He spoke quickly and incoherently over the important financial bits of information, then asked for my credit card details. I refused these but was told they wouldn't be used, it was just for an agreement number! I still refused. I asked for a lot of the conversation to be clarified. Apparently because they telephone folk from a proper landline number this somehow proves their honesty! I put the phone down. I do not suffer fools etc, but this was the cleverest scam call I have ever received.0

However, Mr Stanford continues to libel me on public forums and a seperate case for damages may be in the pipeline.0 -
How long does it take to get a refund and how snooty go about it?
It took me a while of dealing with Cliff Stanford directly to get a refund. Badger him until you get a refund. It took me roughly about 6 weeks.
You may get a rough ride, but whatever you do, stand your ground, don't back down, communicate with your bank or credit card issuer and failing that put a complaint in to the Ministry of Justice.
If you want to SAR (Subject Access Request) make sure you make a cheque or postal order payable to CERYS-ANGHARAD LIMITED or they will just give you the run around.
If I can be of anymore help, let me know. What a load of dunderheids!0 -
