As a single mum, surely youd have preferred being £4800 better off in return for filling in a few forms and licking a few stamps?illegitimi non carborundum0

Of course, but to be honest I didn't even know I was entitled to this refund so would have spent many years oblivious and probably never made a claim. I'm not a greedy person, I work hard for what I earn, but any extra money is a bonus, so i have to look on the bright side.

Sorry, no offence meant here, but I find it amusing how newbies are posting about their success stories with Ifonics as soon as their shameless tactics are exposed on major forums.
In addition to that, I also find it highly amusing that anyone with any decent legal qualifications would say that claiming via Ifonics would be beneficial. Any solicitor worth their salt would recommend doing a claim yourself for the cost of a few stamps & recorded delivery. What a load of dunderheids!0 -

So if someone else gets a call from Ifonics, would you recommend that they lick their own stamps and keep the extra two grand themselves?illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Well clearly my comments, meant to be constructive are just going to criticised. I will not apologise for being honest and I do not regret following through with this claim, although I now regret thinking this was a site worth commenting.
I may be naive, so what, it's no crime! As for "legal" comments, I did not say that the friend advised me either way, it was my choice and it could have gone either way I know. But it went in my favour thankfully. I do not appreciate the tone of comments, it was not my intention to get into a slanging match and will not be drawn into one. I was totally stating fact.
Clearly that is not appreciated here.
And ChilliP, I may be a 'newbie' but I did read this site when I first had a call from the company in March, after which I was pretty convinced the money was lost anyway, I decided I had nothing left to lose...
I am not trying to advise people to do the same, I just felt my story should be told too.0 -

If people have the time and know they have a claim, then of course I would say lick those stamps and get the money back.
I did what was right for me, it does not mean it will be the same for everyone.0 -

Thank you MagpieCottage, it's comforting to know that someone out there knows his'her stuff and is prepared to share that knowledge with victims of these scams. I certainly feel better now that you have pointed out certain aspects that go against the MoJ's code of conduct.
ChilliP2012
I hope I have managed to convince you that I am not a puppet of Cliff S and his Ifonics company.
Good luck with your quests!0 -
