    Oh good shout :D

San Francisco is also a good shout from upthread, I loved Brisbane too and have family & friends there.

Hmm, so many lovely places we've been fortunate enough to visit yet there are so many other places in the world we haven't visited yet...

Whilst I was away over Christmas the same question popped into my mind. There I was walking round Sandbanks in Dorset and I thought, if i lived here, i would live a lot longer and be more contented.

Wherever you go, particularly abroad, always have an exit strategy. And always rent first, until you've made very, very sure that you've made the right move, not only for yourselves but also those you might have to leave behind in Blighty.
  • Wow - this has really given me some fodder for my daydreams..

I love the sound of somewhere in South America or Cape Town. I have been hearing a lot of great things about Cape Town lately opposed to the usual stories of the crime rates in South Africa...

  • I would have picked either somewhere in North Thailand or Capetown but retirees don't get their Uk pension's paid when living in either of these two. An important factor to consider unless you have your own business.. then obviously you can just pay somebody to run your business and you still get a % no matter where you are in the world.

    Not paid or not up-rated?

I think you'll find it is paid.
