How is it helpful to say that the car that he was buying is rubbish or judge him on buying a car when he has a baby due? Everyone wonders why after one post he has dissapeared when most of the replies are abuse or usless comments.0

He did the same on piston heads. Do you think he's genuine?0 -

I don't see why not?
If I'd lost that I'd post on multiple places as well!
Incidentally, when I had a SOGA issue on a used Focus I did exactly that and found the best advice on legalbeagles!
If I'd come back here to the reception the OP got it's not surprising he went with a forum where people were HELPFUL as opposed to accusing!0 -

I agree. We all make mistakes! If people seem geniune it can be easy to fall prey and realise the mistakes later.
Even the motortrade get it wrong and buy cars unknowly. It can happen I just hope he gets it sorted.0 -

Nope, no made a few posts....
Some got a hostile response from the off.... these I didn't respond again!
Some I just got NO response (some I tied bumping, others I let die)
A few got some sort of response
But mainly ... yes... I was looking FOR help, I had a kid in intensive care in Central London and only had my iPad for internet and I was trying to keep my job as well!
I didn't post all that in the different forum's (and that is only half the disaster that was happening at the time) ....
So I don't know what else is going on in the OP's life, he might be a troll or he might not... BUT if he wasn't he was hardly given a reception would make him come back.0 -

The real ones, come with an insurance policy, if this is the case, a trip to a solicitor with the policy is the first call.
Let a legal expert decide on the HPI insurance issue.
At £21k it is worth a court case to enforce the policy.
the vehicle is a clone, the HPI check gave the all clear for the car that it was originally cloned from. I'm guessing a garage provided the thieves with all the vin and matching registrations to make it look legit.
OP, really sorry to hear about what happened to you. That's an aweful lot of money to lose. Probably not going to help you much here but for cars priced in that region it's best to stick with dealers. I would only buy cars priced 3k+ from dealers and leave the low cost vehicles for private sales.0
