Hello Everyone
I have been away for what seems like forever.
In my defence I have
Decorated DSD bedroom
Dug a five foot, 7 metre hedge out of the front garden and replaced it with something more manageable. The hedge was scratching the car
Sorted and weeded the back garden
And best of all had a week's holiday in Devon over Easter.
I was up early today to see DP and DSS off. They are racing their model cars in Eastbourne over the weekend, so freedom to do what I want :rotfl:
As a result I have been busty in the kitchen
2 chicken curries
1 lentil and veg curry
1 chicken and veg pie with asparagus, broccoli and carrots
1 chicken pasta bake
3 meat spag bol
3 quorn spag bol
2 sausage casserole
2 meat chillis
2 quorn chillis
The plans for the rest of today is to sort the Ebay Mountain in the study and actually get it listed.
A visit to the garden centre to get some herbs and other bits to grow. I am a virgin when it comes to this so was thinking chives, parsley, rocket, tomatoes and strawberries. Any other easy suggestions, gratefully accepted.
Bank my £2 and 20p pigs, if I get dressed before the bank shuts.
Best wishes to everyone and special hugs all in need.

Oh dear, I had great plans for the day, but here I am still in my dressing gown, drinking :coffee: at 10.30. oops!
OH got up early to go to work, so my plan was to close my eyes for another 5 minutes, then get up. Next thing I knew it was 9.30!
So far have sorted the washing (at least 4 loads today ) and stuck a load in, but that's it. Oh, and swished the bathroom.
Need to have a rummage through the freezer for dinner inspiration; I am aiming not to have to go shopping today, but might need some essentials. My no spend week has been pretty good - only bought two tester pots of paint (£2) all week, but we did have a slight blip & go for a Toby Carvery yesterday! In my defense we made sure it was early enough to get the cheap daytime price. Pretty good too, for mass produced food - the veg was "real" (as opposed to tinned/processed/frozen) & so were the yorkshires - too uneven to be of the Aunt Bessies variety.
Need to go out & check on my herbs - not seen them for a couple of days. The coriander & parsley are doing well, but the basil has only just started struggling through. My magnolia is still resembling dead twigs stuck in the ground, so I fear it hasn't survived
Right better crack on, hugs to all of you, have a lovely weekend.0 -
Good Morning All
Plenty of washing to get done over the weekend, aswell as the usual general housework, and its bedding change wk end also.
If it stays fine, grass needs cutting again, rabbit needs cleaning & dog bathing (but those are OH jobs)
I woke quite early, and spent most of the morning lazy in bed, reading a book I started the other night. Ive not done this in a long time.
Ive sent OH to town to pay the few bills for me!
My ebay items end on Sunday, out of 34, 11 have bids, others have plenty of watchers, I love the last minute, when they're all out bidding eachother!
Kids are with their dad for the wk end. He shall collect them about 2ish again! Not bad for some one who complains he has no money, and moans when I ask him to help out with child care costs when kids are on half term. but has just brought a 2nd hand car. Same as mine but different colour! Peuguot 406! He got it from ebay, and after reading the description, there is lots what need doing to it. The description also states, 6 months road tax but is on a sorn - which me understands that this has been declared off the road! Oh well - his problem not mine! Hefty fine, if he's sorted it out!
Catowen - glad DD had a lovely birthday
Kyle - I hope DH comes through this ok, must be a huge worry for you & twink. (((hugs))) to DS also.
Moggins - shame the date cancelled, his loss - did he give a genuine reason?
DLB - how did your friend get on with those bank charges from Barclays? Did she win?
Im off to read rest of the thread, whilst eating my shreddies.
Bye for now

I hope your mum has arrived home safely and that she had an excellent time!
We still watch Shamu occasionaly here!
pen-pen good luck for DS at football today!
dlb is the blocked saliva gland catching, cos thats what the doctor first said about DS, then said it was mumps, then put it down to a gum infection, so Im non-the wiser. He's nearly finished his anti-biotics, and its not going down as fast as I thought It would!
love the pic racy
mushypeas hope your friend's date went well, I met my ex via a friend, bit like a blind date. We stayed together for 10yrs. My brother met (his now wife) on the internet. They've been together 4yrs, and married for 2. She is from Florida, been living here, but soon will be moving back, once my brother's visa application is sorted.
looby-loo do the important thing, and get the marking started. You can have a break in between to do other chores. I would save the decorating kitchen for a rainy day!
catowen have a nice day out today!
Right best make a start

morning all
(just)
Well late night - my sort of sis in law texted to say that she'd dumped my bro - can't get hold of him but she was texting till gone two - what I'm supposed to do about it I don't know but it is a shame as I like her a lot. I don't know if it will stick but they have sepearate houses anyway and no kids together so it's not too bad a tragedy i suppose. Plans today are to try and curb exoh's enthusiasm for buying plants for MY GARDEN and taking up valuable veg space  , catch up with some housework and go watch the mighty bees for the last time this season and the last home game in league one as we were relegated some time ago
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:As a result I have been busty in the kitchen
show off (slinks off to stuff socks in 34A bra)
have a good day
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Good Afternoon!! :hello:
Just taking a break from the garden. Yesterday we planted 1 pear and 1 apple tree, we already have 1 pear tree but needed another for cross pollunation, might be a bit too late for this year though. Neighbours have apple trees so that should be alright! This morning I have put in 2 hollyhocks and a hydrangia (sp?) need to go and do a herb garden pot after a rest and hope to have the hanging baskets done before oh gets in from his course. Phew!
Hope all those in the Kent area are ok! (((hugs))) used to live in Cyprus as a child and we regularily had earth tremors! They can make you feel a bit nauseaous as well as scared.
Good news is my friend is continuing to make good progress although she is still a very ill girl, can't eat or drink so just relying on drip and hickman line and is so very very thin. Drs still not sure about her eyesight and how much better it will get so more positive thoughts and prayers are needed to be sent her way. I feel so very lucky with my own health and have wasted far too much time being depressed when I actually have so much to be thankful for. Sorry have rabbited on haven't I?
Breakfast - Marmalade on toast with hm bread (need to make some more in the bm)
Lunch - scrambled egg on toast
Dinner - Bolognaise (using up veg from box) and pasta, ice cream.
8 more sleeps til Disney! :j and seaworld and discovery cove and........
Have a lovely Saturday

Hi
I've popped back on here in the hopes of some consolation, I've ben busy with all my OS stuff today. My gas bill has just arrived & I nearly had kittens, our gas usage has nearly doubled in the last couple of months, I know the cause, my lodger gets up @ 5am, goes to the bathroom, turns on all the taps & the water is still running when I leave for work @7:15. She sometimes says she cannot get the shower to work, so hubby explaines that she had emptied the water tank & would need to let it refill before the shower will work. She also uses the washing machine most days & turns the temperature up to 80deg & puts 250mil of powder in each draw.
I don't know what to do, I charge her £75 a week, it was originally for a 5 night week, but now she often stays weekends as well. I change her sheets & clean her room for her & provide 3 meals a day, breakfast, packed lunch & evening meal. We live in an expensive area, so food isn't cheap, somehow I don't think I'll be making much profit from her stay!!!

Hi all you busy people!
What have done so far?!!! Managed to sort and put away a dry load of washing, made the beds and hung out a dark load. However, been at work since 9am and had to run an exam for a student  never a favourite of mine as the software sees me coming and has crashed on more than one occasion...exit one very
red faced tutor! However, all ran smoothly today and she passed:D
Boo hiss we came second in the school quiz last night but at least we drew with the teachers and they didn't win for the first time in ages:j Their scribe misheard and wrote down Scissor Systems instead of Scissor Sisters as one of the answers [she is the music teacher but not really her era!] and so lost. I know because I marked their answers:rotfl: :rotfl:
My parents joined us last night and we treated them to fish and chips by way of a small thank you for all the help and support they give us. My poor Mum sat there with a black eye and sporting a rather fine plaster...she fell off her bike and had to go to hospital but fortunately no permanent damage done. Sometimes parents are worse than having children:D
Off to town for a small spot of shopping and then I'm going to catch some much needed zzzz as my body thinks it perfectly reasonable to manage on about 3-4 kip at the moment.
Peanut stirfry for tea. Tomorrow we're trialling a new curried sausage recipe from my 10p money saving Family Circle book I picked up at a jumble earlier this year. It's a typical 70s job in style but all the recipes tried so far we've really enjoyed!
Loved the pic of the coots...they're are so CUTE. Aww bless 'em!
Enjoy your day
