    Good morning everyone
I also thought you were in your 20's Amie, I think it's because your posts sound so full of enthusiasm.
I had a long day yesterday as my lodger had an interview in Berkhampstead at 9am, which meant getting her to the station at 6am, which meant she was up at 4:30 & I got up at 5. She didn't get home till 8 in the evening, unfortunately she didn't get the job.
I was up at 5 again this morning as I had to drop hubby at the station as he has a couple of days work. So I have my first load of washing on the line & 2nd load in the machine & DW is on.
Later on I will make some bread & some weetabix brownies.
Hugs to all the unwell/injured pets, I have been very worried about my rabbit as he has seemed off colour, but this morning at 5 he was bumping his head against the door of his hutch, which is his signal that he wants letting out, so he must be feeling better.
Hugs & Happy Birthdays, as appropriate.

    MORNING ALL.
Im in such a better mood this morning, DH back to his normal self and apologised for being such a pain in the **se the past few days. We had a lovely roast dinner for tea last night and my friend gave me a food parcel. She is very very fussy with food, but buys all sorts just to try then doesnt want it, i ended up with 6lb grapes, 15 apples, a full huge sack of potatoes(because she doesnt like whites?) 30 bags of crisps, 2 boxes of cereal, and 3 packs of unopened biscuits.

Ds1 got sent home from school yesterday has a large lump on him neck, took him to doctors and it is a blocked saliva gland, if the anitbiotics dont take it down by monday he has to go to hospital for a ultra sound on it!! But feel better for knowing what it is and it isnt hurting him.
My Mum didnt end up staying in hospital but she has to go back in a month to be checked again. Thanks for all the pms and well wishes about her over the last few days.

Right todays plans, WM on, have ds3 last match off the season today at 10am, the a day just getting a few bits done, bills paid ect.
Have a sunday off footy tomorrow so we are off clothes shopping for ds2 for his hoilday to Malta in 9 days time with his grandad, planning on popping into garden centre for a few bedding plants too i think.

    Have a great day all
    Donna

  • Morning to everyone already up and to those who have yet to awaken.
I'm another early riser. Got 2nd load in WM. 1st is already on the line.
My OH came back from America yesterday (where he's been working for the last couple of weeks) so he kindly brought his suitcase full of dirty screwed up washing for me.
I've already had to have an Alka Seltzer coz I think I might have celebrated his safe return a little bit too much and woke up feeling like cr*p.
He bought me and DD loads of thoughtful prezzies. My daughters favourite was a packet of freeze dried astronaut ice cream on a chocolate wafer.
God it was so yuk but DD loved it.

Good luck to Master Pen Pen.
AMIE I also thought you came across as much younger. You'll have to send us old codgers tips on youthful posting:rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a lovely Saturday and hug.gif to anyone who wants or needs one.

the sun is out already so hope it stays like that, i planted some basil and annual flower seeds and loads of purple sprouting broccoli are well up that kyles dh planted
tried talking to him yesterday but it went in one ear and out the other but hopefully his appt with our other doctor will be more helpful
poor ds1, he does so well with his diabetes, i was out in the garden with them yesterday then kyle was talking to him about the insulin pump, he maybe thought that because he wears it all the time it would mark him out even more of being different, he needs to speak to someone his age who has it, i was away home by the time he had been upset, dont you just want to take away all his sadness

mioliere thanks for your concern about ds1, not sure if he would talk on here, or what he would say :D
amie your mum sounds like a lovely lady, am sure she enjoyed and deserved her holiday

    morning gang :D

Well jazmine is alright, shes so much better after shes had the tablets, although she does go drowsy. ANother awakening this morning where she decided to come and get comfy on my pelvis while I was asleep! cute as it is, 8 kilos of jack russell meant me wide awake at 6.30.

Last night was lovley, me & oh read our lonely planet, and talked about how excited we are :) its so great to have something to look forward to- weve been so broke for such a long time, we havent really done much- so this is our light at the end of the tunnel. But reading it has made us really indecisive! What shall we do? Waterfalls? Mountains? Seeing antelopes? I think we are quite up for some kayaking along part of the safari routes, and Im gagging to do some horseriding- apparently one place you can horserise through areas with zebras, cheetahs etc!! It looks amazing. And also on a thrifty tip some of the better guiesthouses in my shoestring guide look only around 3.00 a night :money:

I am a bit worried about finances though, so today ( in a min) probably, im going to wack these books on amazon just to get that ball rolling in the offchance someone will buy them. I jsut feel im not doing enough to bring the money in right now. However, new job starts weds nad maybe Ill stop worrying so much- adn spending so much  Ive spent a LOT over the last few days and i dont like the feeling

Looks like my beds been shipped so it might arrive today- OH can use his day off doing DIY- seeing as he just loves it so much LOL , he doesnt really, but I migh make his favourite - HM burgers as a treat for after :)

Today is my menu planning day & off to do the shopping. We are off out tonight, so no meals to be planned in- it'll be chips & beer in a pub i think, then tomorrow we were meat to see freinds but im not sure thats happeneing now, so it'll be getting the bed ready, doing the food, might try to do some baking.

MOLIERE- if you like Ann tyler - have you read any ALice Hoffman or Barbara KIngsolver? both fantastic writers, and v similar to ann tylers style. Keep an eye out on those boot fairs ;)

DLB- hope sons neck is ok :)

cheers for all the well wishers for jazmine- passed on the hugs and ive started singing to her "how much is that jazmine in the window, the one with the waggely tail bark bark" SHE LOVES IT and gets so playful :D awwwww

right im rambling, off to swipe the kitchen I think
Hugs to all that want/ need one

Well it's another beautiful day here in Wales, The two eldest are playing with the lego and LO is still asleep but I am sure it won't be for much longer. The eldest was down again at 4.45 and woke us up so I am going to read him he riot act later. He has a clock and can tell the time and the rules are NO way before 6 o clock does he wake anyone up or come down. These light mornings are not helping though. LOL in 7 further years I will be tearing my hair out trying to get him out of bed in the mornings.

I'm at work 2-9.30 today, back to my normal routine I will have to see if OH manages with the kids - will find out later I'm sure.

Plans today are to tidy round, clean upstairs, get a wash out on the line sort out dinner and tea and make something for me to take in with me.

AMIE, I hope your mum has had a lovely time and I am sure she will be fine.:D

    Kyle -

    bearhugs15.gif A special hug for DS1. XXX

Well I best get a move on and get the kids their breakfast.

((((hugs)))) to all who need one today,

  • Morning earlybirds! The sun is out here too, yippee, and the first lot of washing is churning around merrily.

I will be on my own today, DH has to work :( so the day is mine :D I'm in the middle of making myself a summer wardrobe as DH says we can afford a holiday this year :T :T haven't been away for five years so I'm really excited.

Thank you to all those who sent best wishes to my puddy cat yesterday, it may be wishful thinking, but I think she looks a bit better already, she's certainly been up and about for more than her usual 10 minutes a day anyway.

Not much else going on here today, I've just put my little plants outside for a sniff at the sun but might have to fend off Mr Blackbird who has already dug up one of my strawberry plants  - there's gratitude for all the seed I give him and his family!

    Have a lovely Saturday everyone
