Questions:
1. is it worth me watering every day to see what happens?
2. Should I chuck them away and start again?
3. If so, can I just scrap the top layers off and reuse the muck? I don't have a lot left....
4. is it worth replanting everything I'm trying to grow or is it too late in the season for some stuff?
Yours idiotically

It's raining. Again. So, I've not been able to do anything today. I'll dig out my waterproofs for the weekend. Sigh.0

Annie-looking great! I'm very envious of your baby toms and cucumber. I have my first tomato flowers now but not on ones I sowed from seed, from a Black Russian plant a friend gave me. I've also got lots of pepper plants with flowers on, I'm never sure if I should take the first flowers off on peppers, what do you think?0

LV it's been raining here too and we've the whole bottom of the garden to clear in prep for shed building foundations starting on Thursday. Gawd knows where it's all going but I've told hubby nothing gets dumped on the food growing. Might have to ask neighbours if I can borrow bit's of their garden.
Fay I'm amazed at the plum tom, can't remember which variety it is but if it turns out tasty I'll be growing them again.
My peppers are looking sorry for themselves, don't like being stuck outside in the wind, rain and cold sunless days.
Went to see mum on the beach yesterday and felt like I'd gone forward to October, the wind was something else down there and the little tomato plant I'd put outside looked very very unhappy. Felt sorry for it so bought it home with me.
Nipped out to get some spring onions and realised I haven't sown any:doh: nor watercressoh well, pea shoots again then:)

I've done nothing with the pity-gift-toms that my friend gave me. Just left them outside in a pot. One now has flowers - so maybe my technique of doing s*d all is the way forward after all.0

Planted out some carrots sowed into tubs this weekend. They really could have done with being put out sooner, but time didn't allow me to.
I wanted to do a few other things - repot some toms & also repot the chillis, but time & the weather didn't allow. I'll have to try and get that done one evening this week - at least the weather is looking good for that! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I may have mentioned that I got a ton of maverick tomato plants growing out of the home made compost I have.
After giving a fair few away to family, I still have a lot (more than I need) left.
This week I have the pleasure of giving these away to colleagues, so they can try their hand at growing something to eat. I hope it gives them as much pleasure as it does me/I (?)
This weekend I'll then be finding a new home for half my cucumber plants, which are in great nick.
I'll also have to find homes for some of the chilli plants, as far more grew than I anticipated! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
After a day from hell, stuck on the M25 for hours and hours yesterday  today I will be in the garden after lunch:D
Need to tidy up the food growing area, moving containers into as small a space as poss, then start moving the broken small shed contents, enough small pots to start a nursery, bikes, table and chairs etc to the upper end and make sure there is clear in and out access for wood/husband/DS assisting etc without the need to disturb my growing food. Not trusting either of them to do it carefully after hearing hubby on the phone saying 'she can always sow more if anything gets damaged' :eek:0 -
I've just missed the first half of the Lions test
watching a leafcutter bee emerge. :j
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Long time lurker here,:) Just have to let someone know i have raspberries ready to pick/eat :j Bought the canes 2 years ago from £land and had loads from end august till end november last year, this year looks very good.
