Pi I tell you Pi not Pie.
Pi = 3.142 to most people but he's used a load more numbers to make his pie look bigger. The number just goes on to infinity but that would make it too big for him to bake....

 Brings back memories of nasty maths lesson
Bathroom pipes all done, floorboards back, not putting the sink back till tomorrow morning, just in case
So time for a cuppa then a nosey round the garden.0 -

Oh well. At least one of you got it. :wall: :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Someone turn the tap off outside. Light rain I can do, but it keeps chucking down and I'm sure the damp is making my back worse0

my friend has taken pity on me and given me 2 tomato plants. Let's see how long it takes for them to die.0

He wasn't alone!
Repotted my 12 cucumbers today. They're coming along really well!
Bought some more compost.
Repotted the 2nd tomato batch from trays into pots.
Have been eating home grown lettuce all week.
Also noticed this morning that the free chilli seeds I got were starting to sprout.
Think I'll give up on the ginger now...
Toms not anywhere near flowering yet. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Hi everyone, finally getting round to an update. Since returning from Mexico I've been working hard in the garden-but trying to get it back in some kind of order as it had become so overgrown whilst I was away. Anyway, some pics.
I decided to tidy the potting shed and storage shed up a bit so I painted it-you will see my cat inspecting it!
I also painted the bench and the veg plot is now a largely pea and bean plot
Cucumbers are planted with pots beside them to try and prevent neck rot! Tip from beech grove garden
I've also got my gardeners delight tomatoes potted on and one Black Russian
And my peppers and chillies
So this is the greenhouse
And finally-the view from my bench as of today
Now, if these photos don't work I will scream as trying to do them on an iPad with the new photo bucket has taken ages!0 -
Haven't posted on here in ages, some of my tomato plants have flowers :T
Anyone else planted James Wang seeds?
Am slightly disappointed cucamelon, electric daisy, all looking no bigger than a month ago
Popcorn plants and tomatillo all looking good though
Strawberries think I will get loads this year, first year for gooseberries too
My weeds are once again tremendous
My gooseberry (second year) still no show...
The audreys are setting aubergines and I have a few tomatoes set now. I have also my first purple podded pea set0 -
Fay I have serious neat and tidy garden envy.
However, I am getting a shed at the end of the month, hubby is building one, from scratch!
The cost of a good quality 8' wide by 7' deep was more than we were prepared to pay, so he decided he could build one cheaper and stronger for less than a cheap one, just!
I have the door in the living room and wood cut to various sizes in various rooms and the loft. I hope it's a dry weekend.
It's going at the bottom of the garden which is deep shade due to trees and full of stuff that should be in a shed anyway, so I won't lose any space.
Today was dry so after a detailed inspection I have;- odd shape baby cucumbers growing on 3 plants
- green toms on a plum tomato
- 80% of other toms have flowers
- loads of French beans with flowers
- Round courgette has loads of male flowers so only a mater of time before the first female one shows
- chard growing well along with assorted salad bits,
- Squashes seem to be waking up
- bumper strawberry glut due, but weeks late this year
- bumper raspberry crop also looks late
- loads of small green cherries, not dropped as many as last year
- apples ditto above
- parsnip seedlings coming up faster than I can thin
- chillis have flowers, but plants still small
Did lots of potting on and weeding, and then turned out the swift spuds planted back between the snow showers, 1.3kg not bad for 2 seeds and very tasty they were too. Only another 15 varieties go:o
Loads of bumblebees out, but where have all the ladybirds gone? anyone have a shortage of them this year?0 -
Been stupidly busy indoors and the garden seems to have taken on a serious case of 'the jungles'
Need to get cracking out there hopefully tomorrow, but the house also needs some serious TLC.
I want pie now...0
