I find it's better to find 15-30 minutes every day than trying to do it all in one day (e.g Sunday). It will invariably rain just when you have a day spare...;)If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Where's my mate Annie then? Seems like I'm [STRIKE]ruining[/STRIKE] running this thread all on my own!
I'll try and tempt her back with a bit of pear and rhubarb pi:

:rotfl: There was me going to sneak back in quietly tonight :rotfl:
The last 2 weeks feels like I've been in an episode of Some mothers do 'ave 'em!
First computer problems, then health problems (nothing serious, just annoying) then we flooded the other joint freeholders who live in the flat below on Tuesday evening  hope they don't think it was revenge for the nasty fence they put up! no Loo for 24 hours  never mind no water, and floor boards still up with dehumidify on and discovered insurances excess is £300  so no claim then, and I'm walking along, bent double, in discomfort, looking at my toes, after picking up a rubbish bag this afternoon.
On top of my fractured ribs and other health problems earlier in the year, I can safely say I've had better years
I've got no idea what my gardens like at the mo, hopefully alive, but after hubby has finished replacing assorted bathroom bits tomorrow (I get to lurk in the back ground and pass assorted tools, usually the wrong ones and cups of tea) I will then get out there and see what's alive/dead/growing/eaten.
Off to catch up.0 -

not enough water and too much sun, i grow them in the north facing front garden in tubs or cut and come again indoors, north facing window, rarely bolt unless it gets really hot.
the capital key appears to have stopped working again on my keyboard.0 -
 Bloody hell! That worked quicker than I expected!
Glad to have you back - sorry to hear you've not been having much fun. Never mind, have a bit of pi and a cuppa. All will be well.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Ooh, Mr bad, what a great looking pie, is it gonna be custard, cream or Evap. with it ?
Was out just befor dark doing pruning when it began to rain and astonished how rapidly the slugs popped out from everywhere, all over the place.
What's with the numbers? Is it your age or phone number ?0 -

Tasty pie, thank you
Imagine my surprise when I thought 'pop on to mbe thread and see what's happening to take your mind off things' and there was a big pie and cuppa waiting or me!
Obviously can't leave you to run your own thread, onto page 2, 3 times in a week
I've got my camera back, with dead batteries and no card, thanks son. I've got more somewhere so will hopefully get some pics this afternoon.
With the binoculars I can see: everything needs watering, more parsnips germinated that need snipping off, around 8 male flowers on 1 courgette, bns alive but not doing much and my watermelon is alive but not growing.
MBE I read about you losing all your pears on another forum, sorry to hear that and I'm guessing June drop. It's a young tree and I think it will do the same as my little apple tree did, drop all fruit 'till it was 3 years old, then gave me 3, then 7 and now I get around 9-12. May not save much money but the taste of a freshly picked apple at the right time is better than any shop bought one.0
