Really? No germination at all?How did you sow them?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

From seed I've planted about 50 tomatoes this year. This year has seen only about 18-20 of those seeds sprout, & they did sprout late. How long ago did you plant them?
The cold winter & late transfer into spring has definitely slowed things down germination wise this year. I'm fairly sure that none of my plants are as progressed as they have been in previous years.
Don't panic. Look forward to an October harvest!;)
PS remember that the 74 mentioned above are ones that have sprouted through re-used compost. Whether the plants are any good or not remains to be seen!:oIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I sowed them in pots into my cold frame about 3 weeks ago. I have nothing. Nada. Nitch.
Told you I wasn't any good at this gardening malarky.0 -
I've also sown some Strawberry Spinach as my oddity of the year, if anyone's grown it, I'd be obliged for any tips.
I've sown this too - but hadn't heard of it before Harrogate Flower show in the spring, so it's a first for me too. I have googled it as the seed packet has very little info, and apparently it can be perennial with shelter overwinter.
MBE I have radish and strawberry planter envy0 -

Think they'd have been better off with a bit of heat. Perhaps a sunny windowsill? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
is this where I can be smug and say there's no room because of my gigantic aubergine?
You might be right though. Any radish tips? They are tiddly too.0 -

Yeah, turn your back on them for 5 minutes.
I don't think I'll be growing an aubergine this year, if current progress is any indication. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
