Popped to poundland (other cheap tat stores are available!) today & purchased 3 30cm circular pots.
Hope it stays dry tomorrow to allow me to get outside, put he greenhouse up (only 1 cover arrived...:() & get planning on what I can do across the next 7 days, up to & including next weekend. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Done nothing today except watering. Played first game of bowls outdoors with sun on my back. Was just like summer.:rotfl:0

I feel like I've semi dropped out of this thread this year-sorry. I will try and do some pics later although there isn't much to photograph so far.
My chillies and peppers are coming along, I've not done anywhere near as many as last year as I ended up giving lots away. They all look ok but as I'm going away I've potted them on int bigger pots than what I've done before so I hope they will be ok.
Yesterday I did a tidy of my front garden, mowed the lawn and weeded. But that was after a long day of shopping!
I've already done an hour today and finished tidying the greenhouse, put the staging back and tidied up all round it. I've just put my new water butt into position next to the greenhouse and I'm going to order the connector now; although I might see if I can make something so it's a bit more MSE. It's one of the narrow water butts from aldi last year which were great value.
I've moved lots of bits and bobs that were lying around and that's made it look better. I'm going to pop the nursery after my coffee and get some compost.
I have some lovely black gold in the dalek but its not a lot so I want to keep it. I'm going to get my strawberries planted. I made some new plants from runners last year so we will see how they come out!
Then lots of pruning, shaping and tidying before I sew tomatoes and some flower seeds. All go and at present it's a glorious day.
Happy gardening everyone.0 -

I'm getting to a 'oh s*d it' place, and may well just shove stuff in pots tomorrow. I'm even contemplating spuds.
What's up? Surely it's warm enough for you to start now?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
You'd think. But this is Yorkshire.
Still, some stuff has happened today: sage, chives, and basil are in. OH has cleaned the front garden and pressure-washed the steps, which is progress. I've also planted a some flowers (shock), and have got some seeds going - radish, mange tout, pepper, tomatoes, salad, pumpkin, spinach. My aubergine is doing well too.
In other news, my little town is on Countryfile tonight if anyone is interested.0 -

Not talking about bowls after yesterday...:(
On the garden front, I constructed 1 greenhouse today. It is up & almost full. The other cover still hasn't arrived, & I really would like it to arrive this week.
I did intend to put my polytunnel up this week, but am going to give it another week or 2 before I do.
Planted my flowers for the hanging baskets etc.
Did want to get some other tubs today after the recent poundland purchase. Haven't been able to though. Will do so next weekend I guess.
Next weekend will see round 2 of much plantings - carrots, beetroot and lettuce will be planted. Round 2 of tomatoes will probably be the weekend after...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
My tomato seedlings are just about appearing as with the runner beans, still looking for the peppers to arrive though.
Have planted some flower seeds and have been weeding like mad in both the front and back garden and doesn't my back know about it,:rotfl:
Was spoilt yesterday with the sun felt like summer :T had a nice day out with my sister.
Changed today, overcast and dreary.
I need to put my bean canes up one day next week, so I hope the rain keeps off.Treat other's how you like to be treated.

Love reading all the activities going on much better then us moaning about the weather.
Still not got any potatoes in the ground just 4 bags put one outside earlier in the week (was in the greenhouse). Woe up this morning to ground first it's only the tips of the leaves that slightly black hope its ok.
Put my sugar saps in the ground they had even grown in the green house. Covered them in fleece and they look fine this morning. Cats love lying on them though.
Struggling a bit at new place of work but at social event last night found out one chap has three allotments and loves to chat gardening.
Bought a cucumber and tomato plant repotted and sitting in greenhouse. We only need one of each. Bought a mini plastic over thingy with my Tesco swapped voucher from T&M will be easier than fleece and safe from cats.
Hope you all had a nice gardening day.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Evening
ooh my poor aching bones..been a great day again today so have been hard at it since 8 a.m again I can hardly walk now but it's so satisfying to see all the hard work coming together.
Sacrificial tomatoes and courgettes are romping away in the greenhouse,I did get the collywobbles last night as the temp fell like a stone but they were all triple fleeced and seem fine today sooo on with the second sowings tomorrow!
Still have wayyy too many potatoes to get in I really do need a shoehorn.
Its such a great feeling to have my hands in the dirt again,no matter how much it hurts later lol0 -
Done nothing today but yesterday we got loads done down the allotment
lots of seeds planted. I can wander down on my lunchtimes or on the way home from work to water the greenhouse which I love!
Next weekend is supposed be nice so we will be down there all weekend with our sandwiches sorting the greenhouse out it has lots of potential but needs repairing so we can fill it with lots more than we can at the min0
