I am having a really great time using the dt brown planner, which is completely free for 30 days. It is absolutely fab and fun and I have used it to draw and fill the whole of my allotment plot. No card details needed to get the free 30 days and the plans can be printed. I recommend it a lot

I am just waiting for squash seeds to sprout in the propagator and I am pretty much done with sowing for a couple of months. Bean seeds are now in root trainers and in a cold greenhouse awaiting the warm blast this weekend. Tomatoes and chillis have been in there day and night for a while now and are strong, however everything will be coming out and into the house if we get anything too cold at night. It is all watchful waiting just now

I have dug out my liquid veg fertiliser, ready to start using in a couple of weeks

that unused seeds can be stored way past their use-by date if stored in the fridge - and never, ever leave packets lying around in the sun (whatever that is!!!) as it would dry the seed out. Just take out what you need and put the packet straight back into an airtight container in the fridge.

    .

I do that and this year have used 3 year old seeds, I just sow a few more just in case. Pretty well everything comes up fine, the only ones I always buy fresh are parsnips. I use lock and lock boxes at the bottom of the fridge and hardly had to spend anything this year

John I grow telegraph, neu plus ultra and purple podded tall peas have had a great crop even last year from all and the seeds stored well. I usually buy from Robinsons but saved enough *somehow* last year to use for this years crop.

Annie the round one is romping away! It was just a freebie pack from kitchen garden I think?

Have triffids everywhere...more potting on today for me :D

I'm yet to plant a single seed, and I'm glad because we had gales here last night and there's no way anything would have survived. Oh well.

At least 1 of my 2 greenhouse covers has arrived.
Be able topotter in the garden this weekend, and nice weather is forecast :)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Morning, whilst the sun may be out it was 4c outside an hour ago so going to give it a bit longer before I take the toms outside for a bit.
Bought some grass seed as my lawn has lots of bald patches from a soggy summer and winter.
Need to find my 5/6" pots to pot on the strongest toms, the rest I'll do when the nights are warmer and they can be left outside. Long term forecasts are still showing very cold nights at the end of the month and there're only so many plants I can be asked to to and fro with twice a day.

Wondered if MrBE has any frog spawn yet ?
While I'm here, my pointy cabbages ( that have been in the ground all winter) had looked as though they were finally hearting up, yet today I see the recent rain and sun has caused them to bolt. Do you think the topmost leaves will be good to eat ?

    Nope. :(

I've had a good day thus far though. A run to the tip to tidy things up a bit, and another load of horse muck collected in the trailer. I need to spend this evening sowing lots more stuff.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

yet again, MBE, I feel compelled to beg you to come and sort out my garden for me. Sigh.

I'm getting to a 'oh s*d it' place, and may well just shove stuff in pots tomorrow. I'm even contemplating spuds.
