How many kids invade this 4 house quiet street then!? No wonder he got p****d off!

I believe the girl is his other next door neighbour. A family with three girls. I have two children, one of whom is old enough to play out. There are two children next door, one of whom plays out, and occasionally the cousin of the child next door.

I should think so it is January! I should hope your kids aren't out in this weather. Anyway, why are you so vexed by these issues at this time of the year?

Of course my kids play out in this weather. I'm not part of the idiot brigade that thinks a child can't play in snow. The children of the street have been systematically turning the gardens into a snowman army :)

I'm vexed by them as it's getting worse, he's driving faster and it's dangerous. People also use the road to walk over to their cars, and with the speed he drives at, he's putting everyone walking across the car park in danger!

Why is this council's problem? They've provided the facilities (i.e. the park for kids to play in), but they're being frequented by the ASBO kids now.

What are the PCSOs supposed to do ... stand guard around the park and tell them to sling their hooks each and every time they turn up?

This is your problem, and you're chosing the easy/lazy option of ganging up on the neighbour in order to turn your own cul-de-sac into your own private play park. What then happens when the ASBO kids start hanging around outside the backs of your houses?

So why don't you, and a bunch of other angry looking parents, descend on the playpark and tell the ASBO kids to !!!!!! off. And do this everytime you want your kids to play out. eventually they'll get the message that they're not welcomed there when your kids are playing. Doubtless they'll come back afterwards ... but so what?

Because I don't want my windows bricking. Or to be attacked by a bunch of teenagers.

Dealing with ASB is one of the jobs of the PCSOs, so when it's reported to them, it'd be nice to think they'd do something about it.
The ASBO kids won't be hanging around the back of my house. Nowhere for them to hang out.
Not trying to turn the cul-de-sac into a private park at all, I've done that to my back yard. What I'm trying to do is stop an idiot driver deliberately driving dangerously.

Whils I don't agree with the OP why on earth would children not be out playing in January

He's only "deliberately driving dangerously" because of the kids playing in the road.

So not only do you want your cake, but you also want to eat it ... and be served it on a silver platter by the council, the housing association and the Police/PCSOs whilst you sit and drink tea?

    ;)

Christ, you lot are never happy. I've not once said I've reporte anything about this to the police.
The housing association agree with us, that what he is doing is unnecessarily threatening behaviour.
You whine about me not doing anything about the ASB at the park, and then when I point out that several people around here have done so, you complain we're wasting PCSO/Council time?
!!!!!!. You just love to pick fault with everything.

Also, kids playing in a car park means you should drive dangerously on purpose? Your logic is fatally flawed.
As I have already pointed out, his driving also affects people walking to and from their car. He also almost hit my neighbours at due to his dangerous driving, but this is acceptable to you, because my son rode his bike out there?

Please, just stop posting if you're here purely to nit pick, it's not welcome.
  • You're entitled to vent, but don't expect everyone to hold the same opinion as you :)

When he's crashed into a car, knocked over some bins, or run over a kid then by all means let rip, but until then accept that letting children play on a public road is dangerous and risky.

And you have a park within walking distance that's inhabited by ASBO kids ... and you've said that the risk is a football in the face ... go figure :| I know which I'd rather.

My son. Had he done so, he wouldn't be breathing.
He has almost hit my next door neighbour's nephew, and that last post was meant to say "car" not "at". Typing too quickly & autocorrect working together. Whoops.

As I've said, the kids don't play out there anymore.

It's not a public road, it's a private car park.

He has shouted at me for "placing hazards" in his way, because I allowed my neighbour to use my parking space. If the guy can't even cope with a car being in a parking space, it's only a matter of time before someone or something gets hit. I'd rather take action beforehand rather than waiting for these near-misses to become hits.
