If he chooses to hide his kids away, that's fine, but I certainly shan't be doing that. We're hardly "inflicting" our kids on him. Not like they stand outside his house shouting and screaming like little !!!!!!. When he moved here he knew full well that every house around here would have children (HA said that as they were all 2+ bedrooms they were being let mostly to families with young children) so it's not like he was expecting to live in a retirement village. If you don't want to live near kids playing, don't move into a house where your neighbours all have children under 6 (he was the last to view his house, we had all already moved in the previous week)

He sounds like one of my ex-colleagues who would moan every single day about the kids who lived nearby him. None of us could understand why he and his wife had chosen to live in what was clearly a family-orientated area if he hated kids so much.

I'd understand if I lived on a main road, or even a vaguely busy one, but I live on a cup-de-sac with only four houses, and the only reason this guys car is an issue is because he drives it in places he doesn't need to for the sole purpose of putting the kids in danger.

He has his own kids too. I pity them as he keeps them locked up. Only time I see them is when they go to school.

It's owned by the HA, not the council, and we pay a premium with our rent for maintenance etc of the road, flower beds etc.

    It's a Ford Focus.

Not even sure what this "child sensor" would be, but travelling at 20mph stopping distance is about 12m, and I doubt it kicks in until he's centimetres away :S

I'm sure there is no such thing. I'm sure we would have heard about it!
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I believe he may be referring to one of those object sensors that detect if a car in front stops suddenly and then I believe it either cuts out the engine or locks the wheels. Not sure I've for that 100% but I'm
Sure I've seen something similar on a car advert.

When we spoke to the HA, they were sympathetic but said without proof they cannot give him a warning.

Incidentally, I was putting some rubbish out about 20 minutes ago and he had a go at me for allowing next door to use my parking space (started about a week ago when her new fella moved in) as I don't drive and therefore it should be empty. I asked why this was an issue for him, and was told he had almost crashed into the car when speeding down here as he wasn't used to it being there. How much of an idiot do you have to be?!

Sounds like you need to get some proof of his dangerous driving. Any chance you could catch him on camera? If he's deliberately driving towards kids in the road to scare them, that could also be given to the police.

As for his complaint about almost crashing into your neighbour's car... surely his sensors would have stopped him in time?

do the camera thing, get together with the neighbors and collectively report him to the police, you could even 'exaggerate' certain things if you back eachother up. fall over in the snow accidentally, could look like you were hit....
