I have to admit I'd be tempted to be 'borrowing' a baby buggy from a neighbours, and purposely time my crossing the road to coincide with his driving down the street. Of course, you'd realise at the last moment and jump back, but in your panic the buggy would go rolling forward in front of the car. I'd imagine a baby buggy suddenly appearing in front of your vehicle would serve to focus the mind quite wonderfully.

    .

This is either an original fiendishly good plan or it's stolen from an episode of Last of The Summer Wine where it will go inevitably wrong as does all their capers.

Don't forget the old poo on the car handles, that might work to refresh his memory.

And I heartily support the building of snow phalluses (as does my OH, who giggled too)

Clearly your neighbour is behaving in this way because he does'nt like the children playing in the cul de sac. I think it would be a good idea for the children to play in a nearby park, I think you would find your nieghbour's behavior would then improve.

I was visiting a friend on thursday night, it was snowing and dark, there was a group of four young lads playing football in the street. The ball was hitting parked cars and people's garages. I don't see why children have to play in a street or cul de sac, cars will never be far away.

I would also not recommend messing with your neighbour's car etc. You may wake up one morning to see your own car covered in paint stripper. If you mess with his property it will be very obvious who has done it as there are very few suspects
  • Public or private road, of the is driving in an anti-social manner, the police can issue him with a 'Section 59' warning - two of these in 12 months, and his car will be seized.

Just a theory but if he pays for the upkeep of the road like you all perhaps he feels entitled to use it all however he feels!

Doesn't stop him being an idiot (couldn't use the word I wanted without it being blanked) but might explain the behaviour.

As it is, the children play where they do as a) it is in full view of the house and b) there isn't really a suitable park for them to play in anywhere nearby, as both local parks are full of teenagers playing rough.
The children that play in the cul-de-sac are all young, mostly sub-5 year olds, who play whilst us parents have a cuppa and a chat and keep an eye on them.
If they play football, they do so in the back gardens. Out on the car park, they ride their bikes and scooters, or play tag. Nothing that ever brings them within even a few metres of his car. They don't make lots of noise, they aren't a nuisance, he is just a moody git!

    I don't have a car :D
A snow phallus would hardly be causing criminal damage. :P

However, we all pay for our own individual parking spaces, so where does he feel he earns to right to donut or skid through them when they're vacant? To the point where he complains when it's occupied because he nearly hit the car that was parked there. Apaprently, I shouldn't let other people use my parking space, as it's mine and mine alone. Think I may remind him of that and go ape next time he has visitors...

If he chooses to hide his kids away, that's fine, but I certainly shan't be doing that. We're hardly "inflicting" our kids on him. ...... If you don't want to live near kids playing, don't move into a house where your neighbours all have children under 6 (he was the last to view his house, we had all already moved in the previous week)

Eh, actually you ARE inflicting your kids on him... kids make noise and noise travels in open air... I bet he never anticipated having loads of kids playing in a parking area - the clue is in the name - a parking area!

Here's a novel idea, use your garden or get off your backside and walk them to a suitable park rather than using a car park - again the clue is in the name - it's for cars!

Of course kids make noise - it's their job - I wouldn't want to listen to hoards of screaming kids for hours on end whilst their parents do nothing but watch on supping tea.
