Vent: Stupid driver!

As I've said, the kids don't play out there anymore.
So what's the problem? Is he still driving like a maniac terrorising all those bins and parked cars?
Sounds to me you just think he's an a55hole (which he may well be!!) and want to punish him out of spite
EDIT: Also ...My son. Had he done so, he wouldn't be breathing.
So you'll kill him if he hits your son ... but you are scared of ASBO kids, that might hit your son?
Sorry ... it's a slow afternoon ... nothing personal !0 -

Ah, it wouldn't just be me that'd be after him.0 -
It looks like this, but the entry road is narrower and longer, and car parking spaces are only on the one side, the side farthest away. The 1/3 of the parking spaces next to the entry road belongs to the neighbour, the middle 1/3 are visitor spaces, the 1/3 farthest away is mine and my neighbour's. Also, our car park is a few metres wider, and block paved, but you get the gist.

Rules - for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.
It seems as if there is a tiny, quiet cul de sac, where some kids sometimes play yet there is one guy who doesn't like this and drives his car quickly.
People are quite right, kids shouldn't be playing on the roads and he has the right to drive as quickly as he likes before getting caught.
But what about a sense of warmth, heart and community? I'm a live and let live sort of person and would hope the vast majority of people in the world are too.
I guess his back is up - so try and get on with him and melt his heart.
Failing that, contact the police to say he's been looking at your kids in an inappropriate way and you noticed a large bag of Werthers Originals in the open glove box...0 -

I've not long seen him leave the house in shorts and flip flops, in the snow. Surely that's a crime of some sort, too? :rotfl:0 -
Interesting thread.
My 2 pence would be:
He's stupid for driving too fast and should stop.
No one should allow their children to play in a car park, regardless of it being private or public. I understand the desire for a hard surface for them to play with their bikes etc, but a car park isn't it.
I also live in a cul de sac and I park one car on the road by my house and one on my drive. Both have been damaged by children playing with bikes, balls, skateboards etc. I don't drive like a loon because I'm terrified of hitting them when they run across the road in front of me and behind me as I reverse. At the end of the day it's for cars not children. Children should play in gardens or parks, if a hard area is that important make the journey somewhere safe or build a patio or long path in your garden for them (I had this as a child for my bike).

Quick update:
Mr Next Door has been told by the housing association to park in his space and stop driving around to scare the kids (he admitted that this is why he does it to the housing officer)
He was told by the HA that if he doesn't like it they can offer him a transfer to another property, but as they have no more brand new properties available, it will not be for somewhere as nice.
Should he fail to stick to the rules, he has 3 strikes then he's out. All our tenancies are starter 12 month tenancies and will all be reverting to secured tenancies in May, however he will be having his starter tenancy renewed instead.
It recently transpired that he made accusations about the woman next door to me. She was about to be evicted, until the HA asked for a written statement from mr Next Door. His statement contradicted the recorded phone call the housing officer had with him to the point that the HA dropped the case against my neighbour and apologised to her profusely.0
