Most probably, read Vauban's guide. The critical element is that were you informed less than 14 days before the date of the relevant flight? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I've read Vauban's guide and also the guide on the MSE site. Is there a section for FAQs or do you just mean the questions included throughout the guide on the site? We were informed less than 14 days before the departure date of the outbound flight but the outbound flight was not affected. It was 6 weeks before the date of the affected (return) flights. I'm still unclear if this means we are entitled to anything. Can anyone help? Thanks.0

You are not entitled to anything, no. You could have asked for the refund of the return ticket, given it was a major change. But you'd have had to buy a single which, six weeks out, was likely to be more expensive. Airline schedules are a bit of a moveable feast, unfortunately.0

Ok, frustrating as it was a major inconvenience and we'd paid extra for those flights but I guess there's nothing that can be done. Thanks for your help.0

Hi back in 2011 our KLM connecting flight from Amsterdam to Dubai was cancelled due to technical issues. We ended up being sent to London and then onto Dubai, we left some 8 hours after our original flight from Amsterdam and arrived around 7am the following morning (8hours late).
I could only supply our flight numbers and KLM are requesting booking reference number.
I do not have this, the original visa card is no longer in use and ref num cant not be provided.
Does anybody know whether I can pursue this without the booking ref number?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

Following is correspondence from them:
Dear...,
I write in reference to your e-mail dated 24 February 2016 wherein you informed us that you are unable to provide us your booking details.
Kindly allow me to mention here that without the booking information and the ticket details, it would be difficult for us to retrieve your details on our systems as such old records are usually deleted from our computer systems under the European Commission Data Protection laws. Hence, I would once again request you to provide us your booking details.
I would advise you to check the statement of the bank account used for the purchase of these tickets which would be mentioned as 13 digit numbers starting with 057 or 074.0 -
Yes you can although it would be good to have those details they are not pivotal in your claim, Read Vaubans guide and issue a letter before action.0

You could try a SAR on them. It may cost a Tenner but will reveal if they hold any data on you. Data protection does not encourage the deletion of data!If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

How long is it supposed to take before receiving my payment?? Air France has agreed to pay compensation for my 14 hour flight delay and for essentials (clothing and toiletries) for delaying my luggage for 4 days. However it's been a couple of weeks since they agreed this and asked for my bank account information.
Today I rang up asking why they hadn't transferred the money to my bank account yet. They said it would be about another 3 weeks until I get an email saying the payment has been processed and another 3 weeks until it arrives in my bank account. Can this be right? Are they just trying to mess me about with these delays hoping I'll give up and go away even though I have email confirmation that they agree to pay?0 -
How long ago was your flight? If it is approaching 6 years they might be dragging this out so they won't have to pay.0
