Just received £398 for me and husband :)
In 2012 we went to Paris to celebrate our engagement, our flight was eventually cancelled after several hours of being told it was just delayed.
I tried to claim at the time and was rejected.
After reading about a recent change in the law thanks to the MSE newsletter I tried again. Once again they turned me down but I did as suggested and went to the regulator.

Several weeks later KLM emailed to say the regulator had agreed we deserved compensation and now we're almost £400 better off!

With our first baby turning one the week before Christmas, this is just amazing.

Thank you to everyone at MSE who works so hard helping us all out.

3/1/2013 flight Toronto to London via Paris on an Air France flight.

Toronto - Paris flight was delayed by 165 mins, meaning I missed my connection to London. New London connection was also delayed by 26 minutes, meaning I arrived into London at 1411, rather than the original 1030.

Air France offered £50 per passenger compo back in Jan 2013 which I didn't reply to. I can't remember a time I use the vouchers, so they've expired (12 month expiry).

Can I complain again with a view to claiming the £240pp (19 minutes off a potential £480pp!)?

this is the flight delay forum....

who did you book your flight with, was it online or on the phone? did you select the flight yourself or were you told it was a KLM flight both ways?

You have obviously booked on line with an agency, presumably based in the Netherlands and Dutch law will apply. You need to talk to the agency and see if they are a member of the Dutch travel agents association ANVR and make a complaint. There isn't a lot more we can suggest on a UK based consumer website

everything you need should be covered int he FAQs
what you have not said is what the reason for the delay was...this is what will determine whether any compensation is due or not
  • Hi,
Back in 2008 I was flying from Bristol to Bulgaria via Paris on an Air France flight and the flight was delayed by 115 mins due to the flight crew being late arriving the day before and not having enough sleep. As a result I missed my connecting flight in Paris and would have had to wait until the next day (24hrs) for another flight. Instead I changed the flights to fly to Prague and then on to Sofia from there. So instead of arriving at 14:05 I arrived at 23:00 (9 hrs later, which was better than 24 hrs if I'd stayed in Paris).
Am I entitled to claim any compensation from Air France?
    Thanks

If it was more than 6 years ago, it's academic.

If not, read the FAQs and do some searches.

Please post on the correct thread if you have any follow up questions not answered by the FAQs.

thanks - wasn't sure if previous voucher would have invalidated any new claim, that's all!
