Would you mind sharing with me as well. I am in the same position and about to start down the court route.
    Thanks

Has anyone had trouble cashing a cheque? we took my brother-in-law with us and he's autistic so doesn't have a bank account so we can't cash the cheque. Anyone experienced anything similar?

If he is unable to manage his own affairs, is someone not appointed to act for him? He could have his own account operated by someone on his behalf, couldn't he? Do you have anything that you could send to the airline to demonstrate your (or your wife's) authority to act on his behalf?

You'll get loads of help - don't be worried.

I betcha Virgin won't actaully defend when they look at the details of your case. Unless Mr. Branson is as daft as he is bearded. And I do not believe he is.

You'll get a copy of the defence, then you'll be sent the allocation questionnaire. Then, a few months later (yes really) you'll get a date for a hearing. And you need to prepare your bundle of papers, and witness statement, about a fortnight beforehand.

So loads of time yet - including for Virgin to fold. Again.

court date is set and the judge has opted to hear rather than go to mediation.

Have you read thru the "Taking Airlines to Court Thread" and Court Bundles" thread?
PM me by all means and I am sure Lord Vauban, KAB111 and others will not mind a PM being sent.
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

    The alleged Ringleader.........
  • Originally rejected by Virgin, complained to CAA and was told they had sent it back to Virgin and would here back in 8 weeks - this was at the beginning of Oct - Today we have received cheques!

Flight number VS0015 on the 10/5/12 Gatwick to Orlando. Received the full €600 amount.

Of the 6 of us on the flight we have received cheques for the 4 adults but not the 2 children - I am right in assuming if a child has a paid seat they are entitled to the compensation as well?
