My ongoing cancellation saga from 30th June.
Applied for refund of cancelled flights 2 weeks ago ( yes I forgot to apply earlier)
Still no payment.
Not received expenses claim defense from EJ.
CEDR slowly grinding on after submission for compensation. I thought I would give it a whirl to see how the process goes, flaws etc. for future reference. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Next installment - email today from easyJet.
"we made a refund of £xxx in early July for your cancelled flight"
Erm no. You made a refund of the car hire I was forced to cancel.
I made it clear in the recent email, the requested refund was a for a cancelled flight, with flight number, date and route.
I do wonder how they manage to run an airline business, given the idiots that appear to staff customer services.....
Or they have a totally unsuitable IT system.
Suitably curt email with NBA sent.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I was coming back to Liverpool from France and the flight was cancelled (May 2018). After repeatedly contacting Easyjet after waiting the expected 45 days they finally paid out compensation. At the same time (as advised by Easyjet Floor Staff) I put in an expenses incurred claim.
I am 'still' chasing Easyjet for a response, I keep getting told, its been escalated to X team wait 30 days, then another team wait 14 days, then another team oh guaranteed response with 48 hours. You get the picture they are stringing it out hoping I'll go away.
What is the next step, I've written, I've emailed, and used online chat and telephoned. Do I need to now put a complaint in or do I go outside of Easyjet? The expenses come to about £700 so not an insignificant amount.

Hi Tracewhy,
I presume you have gained compensation due under EC261/2004 and are now trying to get ‘right to care’ costs refunded ? Which would include travel to and from a hotel, the costs of any overnight accommodation, food and any hot or soft drinks ?
If that is indeed the case and your getting the run around, follow Vaubans Guide and issue an NBA just as you would for a delay compensation claim under the regs.
This should be straightforward given that it sounds they’ve already paid the hardest part of your claim.
Good luck,

As you know I don’t have the time to follow this thread as much as I’d like to, interesting your trying CEDR given it’s a free option certainly no harm, but I never thought I’d see the day! After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

It's only free if they side with you, otherwise it's £25. Although from what I hear, the fee is only charged if they think your claim is entirely frivolous.0 -

I thought it would be interesting to see first hand the CEDR process.
Experience so far, very very slow. Website for submission poor.. No response even from CEDR expected until 4th September....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Logged on to MCOL yesterday and checked again today. Its saying I can now enter judgement by default as EJ have not responded.
Yet I have an email from both easyJet and MCOL last week with a copy of the AoS submitted.
Looks like MCOL beta has a few basic faults....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
