You took young children on a minimum 90 minute journey and didn't think to carry drinks and possibly nibbles for them?
Surely I am not overacting if a multinational company like Easy Jet violated EU legislation. I thought the burden is on them to provide nibbles if the flight is delayed?did they sell refreshments onboard?
If you purchased items then you could try sending your receipt in for reimbursement...if you didn't purchase anything there is nothing to be reimbursed
They tried to charge us for food onboard. Luckily, we had sweets and crisps from the airport. If I can find a bank statement for the airport snacks would Easy Jet consider it?0 -

Afternoon.
I’ve just had a compensation claim declined by Easyjet off the back of a cancelled flight due to the air traffic controller strike in Italy in March (our trip to Venice was extended by 2 days until the next available flight) an I was wondering:
A. Is it worth me appealing?
B. We were told we should be able to claim back our expenses for those extra 2 days, so could the decline the expenses claim that I’ve logged, also?
Thanks0 -
Thanks for your response. I’ve just live chatted someone at Easyjet and they have said that my expenses claim has also been rejected, even though they said to me that I would be able to claim back what we spent for the extra 2 days...
Surely that cant be right? Any ideas where I go to next with this?0 -
Ask them why they have rejected your claim and if you're not satisfied send them a letter before action and sue them0

I have searched the boards as I suspect someone else has asked this question before; but I've had no luck in finding the answer!
I was on an EasyJet flight that was cancelled and I was placed on another flight 2 days later (missing 2 days of work, hence why I think it is fair I claim the compensation). After jumping through the hoops EasyJet have said they will not pay out as the flight was cancelled due to weather. I have done a little research, compiling a list of flights, and found that for that particular day on that particular route this was the only flight that was cancelled.
My question is; what is the best way to go about contesting the reason they have given? it best to go straight to the CAA? or write back to the customer services team? or take them the EU court to publicly shame them? or write a nice letter to Johan Lundgren to show him the facts I have found?
Thanks for any help anyone can give,

assuming you have checked the NWNF checkers (EUClaim, bottonline) and they confirm you have a claim then you could issue a NBA and see what the judge thinks.
If the NWNF sites confirm extraordinary circumstances then you would be looking to see if your travel insurance will cover any losses you incurred as no payment from airline would be due0 -
Welcome.
Please repost on the easyjet thread rather than creating your own personal thread, as unfortunately this makes a real mess of the board. Regulars check all the airline threads on regular basis. Individual threads make it far more difficult.
I would suggest you download Vauban's super informative guide for your next steps. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
