Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Easyjet ONLY

We have just recently been successful for claiming compensation for ourselves (husband and I). At the time of travel, we had our son who was then 6 months old. He had a ticket at the going infant rate although wasn't allocated a seat.
EasyJet are trying to say despite having paid a ticket for him, because he didn't have a seat allocation he's not entitled to compensation. As far as I can see in the ec regulation, there is no mention of how old the passenger is or whether or not they were in seats - it says ANY paasenger who has a valid ticket.
Anyone had this issue?
Lots of people. Search for infant in the forum to get their stories.0 -
you would be better looking in the Easyjet thread rather than starting a new thread

Am due to go out to Barcelona tomorrow with Easyjet and return on sunday with Norwegian Air
We booked our flights with lastminute.com
If our flight with easyjet is cancelled, will lastminute have to offer us a refund on the complete booking?0 -
Unlikely since you have bought 2 x oneway tickets unless your ticket type allows refunds. You can check your travel insurance to see what they may cover or you may rely on some goodwill0

Today's Telegraph reported that both Easyjet and Ryanair announced fare refunds for flights cancelled by the ATC strike. and the airline's website says (in the context of such canelletions and delays (and assuming you can't accept another flight and so, no longer wish to travel -

If Booked through easyJet.com?
If you booked your flight through easyjet.com you will be able to cancel your flight along with any associated ones using the services in manage bookings. You can also do this using the easyjet mobile app available for iOS and Android devices.
Booked using another means?
If you didn't book your flight through easyjet.com you will need to speak with a member of the customer service team to cancel your flights and obtain a refund".

I have expereince similar to yours in a past strike cancellation. on that occasion (with Ryanair) refunds via the airline's website were an easy process, done online. So the message is- book direct with the airline in future!)
And even with cheap old £40 annual family cheap as chips online multitrip insurance we got £50 each without fuss for the delay ( I think from someone like insurance4travel)0 -
We were delayed for 24hrs on a flight from paphos cyprus with easyjet due to co-pilot taken ill and no one to fly plane back.
Easyjet put us up in a hotel for the night until next day. Can anyone tell me if we can still claim for flight delay0 -

Have a look at the thread "Flight Delay Compensation Important Info - Please check before posting"
Not sure, but I think there might also be a EasyJet thread.0 -

Have every other booking (hotel, train to airport etc) which I'd printed out and bank statement showing payment to Easyjet info but not the flight details. Since changed my email provider so can't trace on my system. Phoned Easyjet ...no record of that flight from Birmingham International to Florence (they no longer fly from Brum anyway). The flight went via Zurich and was delayed and I think I recall we were transferred to another carrier at Zurich onward to Florence. They also 'lost' my bag (I think other carrier accepted passengers at Zurich but not our baggage) which is another issue. Also asked Easyjet to trace my booking using bank payment details. No record of that they say. However, they must have info somewhere as taxman requires records to be kept for 7 years. I have checked a website for flight delays but nothing comes up and also hampered by no flight number. I definitely was in Zurich and I definitely paid Easyjet .. without Easyjet telling me the flight number difficult to see how I can gather evidence for claim, unless others have any bright ideas.0

Any ideas please? My wife and I were delayed 12 hours at Heraklion airport in 2010. Easyjet keep on fobbing me off and refusing to answer correspondence, CAA form says I cannot use them because flight was not from UK. Any suggestions? Thanks.0
