If you can't understand the FAQ's you were directed to yesterday when you asked the exactly the same question, you have little chance of receiving compensation

    same answer applies

If you have another question you would be better asking it in the Jet2 thread instead of starting new threads

How long is it taking people to get any sort of result from Bott & Co?

I started my claim on the 4th June 2013

On 15th June 2013, I received the message:

"We have now received confirmation from the Court that formal Court Proceedings have been issued.

The Proceedings have been served on the airline and they are obliged to acknowledge receipt of those Proceedings within 14 days and then provide a formal written Defence within a further 14 days."

Since then.... We've just been waiting for the court.

Well, you are more patient than I am, John.

I am not an expert but I understand that if a defence is not filed within 14/28 days (depending whether an acknowledgement of service is filed but you are well outside both) you can request a default judgment. I am sure if you search for that term on the foum you will find out how to do this - or have a look at MCOL or call the court.

I beleive you have to contact the court to request judgement by default if the defendant didn't ackowledge or defend the claim. The courts usually allow a late defence if they haven't already received the claimants request for default judgement, so best to keep an eye on the dates and get in first.

I do apologise to all, if I have caused any confusion by my simplification of my journey through the court process.

I heard nothing off Bott & Co, until a month ago, when I contacted Bott & Co, asking about my claim's progress.

It was then that Bott & Co told me that Jet 2 DID file a defence, pretty much, on the 28th day. I asked for a copy of Jet 2's defence, which they then sent to me later that day.

Bott & Co and myself are still awaiting direction off the court.

    John.

I was on holiday in turkey in aug 2011 on getting to the airport,we found the plane had a technical fault and there was a 11 hour delay.
A friend said i would be able to claim compensation with it being this long delayed.
Also what proof is needed i have my boarding passes.
Is this possible because of the amount of time how and what do i have to do to get the ball rolling.
We were given food vouchers for a rubbery kfc and were not let out to smoke as we were already through check in after 11 hours emotions were high.i also missed the next day in work.
