Hi i’ve Just received the following response any advice?
Thanks Pip. Unfortunately we are unable to discuss the booking as you have booked through a travel agent. We recommend contacting your travel agent directly if you wish to discuss this further. Thanks, Safera
I’ve never heard of that one before, just issue the NBA and then if they still don’t respond start court proceedings- easyAfter reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Am I correct in recalling that EU have suggested that travel agents may have to shoulder some responsibility for air delays?
Maybe J2 are taking advantage of the suggestion? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Just wondering if we have any chance of getting compensation out of Jet2 holidays. Flight LS953 should have departed at 17:00 but didn’t leave Manchester for Palma until 20:23. The flight should have landed at 20:45 but landed at 23:53. I have screenshots of the jet2 flight status updates.
Originally the delay on the board was 1 hour and 50 minutes and once on board the captain said this was due to significant operational reasons. As the plane began to taxi out of the stand, the power cut out. We then had to go back to the stand for engineers to check the plane over. The engineers then said we all had get off the plane for a full engine test. After a further hour we could all board the plane again and take off.
We were given a free soft drink once in the air.
Would these reasons count as exceptional circumstances? I have submitted a claim on their website anyway but I’m sure they will have excuses ready.
As we booked the entire holiday through them including transfers we didn’t get to our resort until near 2.30am. My children were exhausted!
I’ve just received a letter to say:
‘On investigation the aircraft due to operate your flight was unable to do so as scheduled as a result of air traffic management restrictions which delayed the operation of the immediately preceding restrictions. We believe that the above reason constitutes an extraordinary circumstance.’
What are my options now? There is no mention of the plane returning to the stand after an electrical outage to be checked by engineers either. We were also told the delay was operational reasons initially and there was no mention of air traffic control.
How can I even check if this is true with regards to the ATC?0 -
Put your flight details into bottonline and euclaim and see what they say. It sounds to me that it was a fault on the aircraft which usually wouldn't be regarded as an extraordinary circumstance.0

Both say we are due compensation. I’m presuming we send a NBA letter now?0

I assume you have already completed the Jet2 Flight Delay Compensation claim on their website?. If you have the next step will be to contact them and ask them for a deadlock letter so you can take it to Arbitration. If not fill it out.0
