Can anyone confirm what the name of the case due to be heard at Liverpool is, and the exact date (some time at the end of February I understand)?0

Jet2/Ryanair/Flybe/Wizzair
All four of these airlines are asking for cases to be put on hold again pending a Dutch case – Van der Lans. There is a case due to be heard at Liverpool County Court on 25th February 2015 (Allen V Jet2.com) which will decide whether or not the airlines can do this. It is likely that all other cases will follow the decision made in this case.
In other words, if Jet2.com is allowed to put the Allen case on hold until we have the outcome of the Van der Lans case, then it is likely that all the airlines will be allowed to put other cases on hold until we have the Van der Lans judgment.
We are opposing the application to put cases on hold again. However this move by the airlines means that if you have a claim against one of the carriers listed above, it is unlikely there will be much progress with your case until we have this decision from Liverpool County Court early next year.
In the meantime we will be keeping an eye on all cases that this affects and issuing court proceedings on all cases which are nearing the six-year time limit for claiming to ensure your case does not expire.

Judging by this Bott & Co are clearly not concerned about any 2 year cap for claims that Jet2 might have in their T and C's.0

May be not, but Jet2 are having some limited success with their two year claptrap, as a result Bott I think are putting claims on hold, I did read that there's another case in Manchester sometime April, set at County Court on appeal to test the 2 year unfair T & C's and you bet your shiny little botty, that J2 (if they lose) will be taking this all the way to the SC!

Thanks Novice...I would have thought, however, that if Bott had any doubt they would have been issuing the Court papers before the two year limit rather than the six year limit. Any client referring a delay claim to them within a two year period will be miffed to say the least if Bott wait nearly six years then fail on this issue.0

Yes, I think it's more the fact that Bott may be delaying the issue of any cases that are currently within the 2-6 yr timeframe. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

The problem with Vans der Lans is that BB are asking for a blanket stay assuming that it affects all delay cases. It doesn't always, some cases might be fought on other issues than "what is extraordinary circumstance". And that makes it unfair, because BB are asking for them to be stayed pre-hearing.0 -
The limitations of MCOL worked in our favour, for once, as it will allow my daughter to make a seperate claim.
We are awaiting the BS/flying excrement of February/Liverpool case to clear first before we send a refreshed NBA. After all I'd like to be seen to give Jet2 a sporting chance....
That's excellent news JP, I can't believe I'm still miffed at how hopeless your judge was.
It would be poetic justice if D's case gets before the same judge...
Slam dunk I think is the expression0 -

..... and if it does go before the same Judge, I'd love him/her to take the same stance as before, I can image JP stood outside the SC just soaking His victory all up, with a glass of champagne in one hand and his daughter in the other awww bless:)
EDIT :- Can you even describe the feeling Tyzap? After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!
