Does the CAA cover the ROI? I thought it was just UK? So yes !!!!!! is CAA doing there?

The flight was from Edinburgh to Lanzarote (according to the article) so yes it's within the CAA's territory.
Can't answer your eloquently put question as to why the CAA are there though....but as a Yorkshireman I applaud the straight talking!:T
Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

    Current known score:-
Dr Watson 35 - 0 Ryanair / Ince and Co

Go to post 622 on the Ryanair thread to read how to sue them safely.

  • Hello Doc
A description of our journey on April 10th.

After a days delay outbound on Caribbean Air whom we took to the small claims court and received full compesation.

We were flying Condor Air homebound about noon check in Tobago – Barbados – Frankfurt with a connection to CDG (same ticket). There was about an hour and a half delay leaving Tobago. In Barbados there was further delay and over the next 3 hours we were let through the gate to the runway side only to be sent back to the terminal twice. Eventually we learned we were to be put in hotels for the night.
The majority of passengers were German and the announcements were not in English. Then there was a lot of milling up and down the terminal with nobody knowing where to go, how to get our luggage back and when we eventually we were put in a queue for immigration into Barbados we did not know which hotels we would be in so they could not permit entry. It took about 40 minutes for that to be sorted out then another queue to be assigned a hotel.
My wife was in a wheelchair through all this and we received no assistance hauling all of our luggage and pushing the chariot.
When we got to the Barbados Beach Club in a minibus across the island it was close to midnight and there was no food. We had not eaten since breakfast.
3 AM we get a call saying we would be bussed to the Airport at 07:30. Breakfast at 07:00. A good breakfast, much enjoyed.
Checked in by 8:30 but the flight was not until 14:00.
We managed to get our connection on Lufthansa brought forward and arrived at CDG 20 hours over schedule.
  • Dear Doctor
Thank you for Bott and Co, I have mailed them.
I would like to point out again that flight-delayed.co.uk would appear to be acting for the enemy.
I would have a go myself but the language and culture barriers are too daunting for a simple Irishman.

Of course, Eire doesn't have the benefit of the CoA/SC ruling. KLM/VdL has in effect become a aHuzar but on EU level.
I wonder why claimant didn't use ESCC?

Why didn't the claimant use ESCP? No idea, but to quote the now departed blondmark, ' Do not use the Irish Courts, the Irish Courts are not your friend, ESCP is the way to sue Ryanair'.

Seems strange to me that her 'representative' appears to have gone through the Irish Small Claims system.

What seems even stranger is that her representative was one Jakub Kotan who is the MD of eudelay.co.uk a NWNF company!
