Agree with your findings via Flightstats however bear in mind Flighstats is not 'recognised' by courts so in effect it could be your word v Ryanair and so long as you are sure.... with regard to EUClaim I will message you.0 -
This is my first post. I have been looking at compensation information about Ryan Air but cannot really understand if we are entitled to claim.
We were due to fly to Ibiza with Ryan Air on the afternoon of the 29th April, this was a 4 night holiday booked via Broadway Travel. Flights, Hotel, Transfer etc.. but not classed as a package holiday.
We were aware from news report that the airport was closed due to a cargo plane incident on the runway. But the advice from Ryan Air was to go to the airport. Which we did. Along with a lot of other people we had to wait at the airport until Ryan Air decided to cancel the flight less than an hour before it was due to leave. This was more annoying as other airlines had cancelled all flights immediately the airport closed. We were offered a replacement flight the next day from Stansted but would have to return on the original return flight to East Midlands. This just was not practical. So Ryan Air refunded the flight cost. My issue is that we managed to reclaim some of the hotel money but are out of pocket for the remainder of the hotel and transfers, airport parking, inconvenience with kennels etc.. Does anybody know in these circumstances if it is possible to claim compensation. Any assistance appreciated0 -
My sister and nephew were on FR3633 (BRE > STN) on 30 July 2014. A 90min delay was eventually announced due to the late arrival of the in coming aircraft. When they finally boarded and taxied to the runway, an further announcement was made "that due to a 'technical issue', the plane needs extra fuel" and they returned to the stand to fill up. Once there, the hold baggage was immediately off loaded and passengers were then told "cancelled".
With it being the last flight out of BRE, RA got them a hotel for the night and they flew out the next morning. Would anyone else agree that
their 'tech issue that needed extra fuel' being code that there simply wasn't enough fuel in the tanks for the flight and cause for a claim?
Thanks.0 -
Paul 78 - whether the fuel or the late arrival the delay was obviously over the three hours and given the circumstances your sister and nephew should claim and be compensated.
Very much a guess but I would imagine someone looked into the following days flight and worked out it was less expensive to combine the flights and pay for a hotel for the night.0 -
hello, could someone please help me.
i booked my flights to Spain in December 2013 with on the beach. we booked to go on 19th august 2014 flying at 6.40am with ryanair, and flying back on September 2nd at 10.15am. i received an email yesterday saying that i could now check in online. i have gone to do it today only to find that they have changed my flight to Monday 18th august at 18.45pm returning September 1st at 22.30pm. i have booked all my holiday separately for example flights, campsite, car rental, car parking etc. its to late for me to change the campsite and car hire.
i am completely at a loss, no one is excepting blame, if i do take these new flights (which i don't think i have any other option) then i am going to have to stay in a hotel on the first night and also lose out on a night at the campsite on the last night. this is all extra cost that i don't have.
please please can someone help me on what rights i have
thank you kelly0 -

Ryanair do not allow anyone else to sell their flights. Who sent you the email re checking in - OTB or Ryanair. Were you set up with a strange new email address to use or was it your own email address?
What may be important is when they notified you of the change (compensation may be due if less than 14 days notice given) - have a check in your junk mail to see if there is anything there if they have your own email address. If OTB setup a new email address the notification may have been sent there0 -
Yeah otb did give me an unusual email address. When I spoke to them about it. They said Ryanair hadnt informed them about the change either. I recieved a email off onb yesterday saying I could now check in. If I hadn't tried to check on today. I would never have known0
