I was also confusing you with Dr-A
Not a problem JP.So have they paid up?
Ahh, good question....RA have applied for permission to appeal.
Nothing extraordinary there, RA play the long game as I have said before and I was expecting an appeal application.
To date no decision has been made on whether an appeal will be granted.....but i'll let you all know ...including you guys at Ryanair HQ.;)Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Bar stewards....:D
Casetracker reference?
It's an appeal against a decision made in the small claims court (ESCP) by a county judge.
I wasn't aware that it would appear with a search on Casetracker?Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Hello all,
I was just wondering if I should attempt to receive compensation from Ryanair? On my flight from London Gatwick to Dublin, Ireland, on 6/01/2014, our pilot diverted the plane to Shannon, Ireland, which followed waiting for a coach to arrive, and getting us to Dublin Airport 4 hours later than expected (with no refreshments offered).
The reason was for bad weather conditions meaning we apparently couldn't land immediately in Dublin (we waited for 10 minutes in the air queue before he decided there was not enough fuel to keep waiting, and to go instead to Shannon), but no other planes were diverted that day, including other flights operated by Ryanair, nor was the airport closed.
(From what I understand, I think that specific plane was meant to fly from Shannon the next day anyway... On flight checkers it declares the arrival time of the flight to be 'unknown', of course!)
On a brighter note, once I actually arrived, had a lovely time in Dublin.0 -
It was extremely windy that day in Dublin so I think this is an extraordinary circumstance.
There is however an argument that Ryanair should have departed with extra fuel, knowing full well that the weather was going to be poor on route.
You would then argue that by failing to do this they have not taken all reasonable measures to avoid your delay.0 -
