thanks jpsartre I cannot see one but reading this forum doesnt fill me with much confidence in receiving my compensation any time soon, it just really annoys me that 8(eight) fellow passengers (friends) on the same flight have been paid compensation without any hassle !!!0

I didn't realise there was an appeal process on the ADR's decision that Ryanair could use?
There isn't when you use CEDR.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

From memory, it's not an appeal process as such. AviationADR makes a preliminary decision and the party it goes against will get a chance to respond to it. If AviationADR rules in favour of the airline, the passenger will get a chance to respond as well. AviationADR will then look at the response and either confirm the preliminary ruling or change it. Unless the response contains new relevant information I'm guessing the preliminary ruling will always be confirmed.0

I made a claim to Ryanair through its website in November 2018. They sent me a response the same day apparently accepting the claim under Reg. EU261/2004 and the letter said they would pay me the Sterling equivalent of €250 "within 10 working days".
To date I have received no money and no response to a couple of chasing emails.:(
Maybe they're hoping I will just forget about it or give up.
I presume my next step should be to complain further to Ryanair (or I think their handler is Sedgwick...) rather than to the CAA or European Small Claims...?0 -
You could complain to the CAA IF your flight originated in UK. If not they won't want to know.
Send one last letter to Ryanair, marked as an NBA/LBA, with a clear deadline of 14 days for payment, then start preparing your ESCP paperwork....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Thanks. The flight did originate in the U.K. so I will give Ryanair a little more time then look in to complaining via the CAA.

The CAA have no powers to force Ryanair to pay you, only the court can do this.
You should complain to the CAA about the way Ryanair abuse the claims process but at the same time initiate your ESCP case too.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
