Finally got our money back, but it was through insurance not Ryanair.

What was the outcome of the retail ombudsman, did they adjudicate on your case?

All the newspaper articles and Ryanair press releases I can see say that Ryanair have only confirmed cancellations up to 20th Sept.

However, I have have a flight on the 21st Sept that was cancelled (but was able to rebook for later in the day). Original flight time was 0700hrs, new flight time 1710hrs (same day)

Question is, do/can I claim for EU261 compensation now or wait until the date has passed?

When I tried to complete the online form, all it says is "Flight number not recognised" but I know I have completed the form correctly.

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Hi sujman,

You should claim for compensation after your flights original departure time. Perhaps the claim system won't let you claim in advance.

Please let us have your flight details, including old and new flight numbers, and also let us know how you get on.

    Good luck.

Sujman, under the regulations you are already entitled to claim. RA have cancelled your flight with less than 14 days notice. What if they cancel again? It could get complicated.
And RA are going to get very busy with these claims. If website won't accept, that's RAs problem, do it old school with written letter.
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

    The alleged Ringleader.........

    Thanks for this.

I got through to them on Live Chat. At first, they said the form problems was due to me not using Google Chrome but I confirmed I was.

He then said use the most suitable form on the "Contact Us" forms page to submit my claim. I said the the most suitable form was already the one I was using - which isn't accepting my flight details!

So I asked for an address so I could make a written submission and they gave me the following one:

    PO Box 11451
    Swords
    Co Dublin
    Ireland

I also asked for an email address I could email the claim letter to. He said only the forms in contact us section would be the way to contact.

When I asked a general question as to why my flight on 21st was cancelled, when press articles say it only went up to 20th - and asked if my flight on 24th would be cancelled - I was directed to Ryanairs press release, which didn't tell me anything new.
