Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Ryanair ONLY

It was due to runway closure but we did notice that easyjet (and other airlines) were still landing at Gatwick after the event (they were just delayed). They chose to cancel our/other flights and still land other flights.
However my question remains valid. Can you get a refund and still claim compensation?0 -
An interesting one. As you see, no other flights except one other Easyjet were cancelled. All were delayed.
Perhaps try a NWNF company such as Bott to see what their online checker shows? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Flew from Girona to Stansted about three weeks ago. Was delayed by 5.5 hours due to a technical fault with the aircraft and submitted a compensation claim a couple of days later, on the 5th of July, via Resolver through MSE. On the 6th, Ryanair emailed to say they would be sending a cheque. Cheque for the legislated amount of compensation arrived today.
Pleasantly surprised by how efficiently and fairly Ryanair dealt with the claim.0 -
Hi,
I tried to post this on the Ryanair board but could not find a new thread button there.
I am filling in details on RA own compensation form but there is nothing for simply being delayed. FR113 LGW - DUB 19.7.17 delay 3hrs34min. The only options I get offered are these:
"Please confirm which of the following options you chose and tick the appropriate box:
Travelled on an alternative Ryanair flight
Booked a flight with another airline
Did not travel on the disrupted Ryanair flight and require a refund"
None of those apply, we had a technical fault which the ground crew openly admitted and we had to wait for a replacement part to be flown in from Cork. By the time this had arrived, been fitted, tested and passed inspection we boarded and departed, arriving over 3 hrs later than the advertised time.
Should I use resolver instead to begin the process?0 -
Hi. You just add your post to the Ryanair thread rather than create a new one so please repost in there.
If you want use resolver, but it probably won't get you anywhere.
Best to do direct. See Ryanir thread as the legal process is a little different. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hi
I was travelling back to Dublin from LGW on a Ryanair flight that was meant to leave on Monday 17th July. Due to a runway closure, my flight back was cancelled. I was transferred to an alternative flight by Ryanair the following day, 18th. This was transmitted to me very efficiently via text an and email, so I didnt have to do anything but check in again and show up. However on 18th this too was cancelled.
I didn't receive any automatic transfer on 18th to another flight, and after many unsuccessful attempts to seek clarification via the Ryanair live chat service as to what my rights were, I gave up and assumed as I had been put on one flight, I wasn't entitled to be transferred to another. I managed to get to speak to customer services that evening and was informed that I could be transferred to another flight but not until 22nd July (a Saturday!). I therefore lost 4 days salary due to this incident. They refunded my flight (75 euros) promptly.
I submitted a claim for compensation for loss of earnings and travel to and from LGW, but received a letter today saying that in accordance with EU regs they didn't need to provide any kind of compensation.
Does anyone know if I can appeal this, could have a claim for a small claims court or if I am just wasting my time pursuing it? Any thought gratefully received!0 -
I don't believe you have any rights to compensation as the cause of the delay was a runway closure and therefore out of their control0

what was your flight number?0
