... (The plane departed late from Manchester and on the way to Corfu was diverted to Italy where plane was changed and then landed in Corfu and finally we could board)...
1st plane engine smoking everybody had to evacuate, wait for replacement.
2nd plane "sensor problem" - unable to land at Corfu, diverted to Italy
3rd plane Italy to Corfu - 9hours late
Emailing Ryan Air to see what they say regards compensation...the north will rise again...0 -

Was recently on Ryanair flight from Faro to Stansted with my 2 children (7yrs and 12yrs) and my wife who's recovering (or trying to anyway) from bilateral hip fractures.
We paid extra for Special Assistance and the afternoon (3:55pm) flight back on 30th July only for the flight to be delayed 7 hours due to a "technical fault" and they had to fly a replacement 737 out from Stansted to pick us up.
Landed back in Stansted around 1:20am on the 31st, waited a further 20mins before the stairs came to let the other passengers off and a further 20mins still before the lift came to let us off as no-one had told the Stansted crew they were needed...
From Ryanair's FAQ page on their website:
"Your rights under EU Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 are unaffected so in the case of denied boarding, flight cancellation or a delay in excess of two hours you will be provided at the airport with a written notice setting out the rules for compensation and assistance in line with the Regulation." - We were not provided with this information either while at Faro airport:mad:
Good to see that other people are seeing results from compensation claims, we're looking in to it now, hopefully Ryanair won't drag their heels...0 -
hopefully Ryanair won't drag their heels...
Silvah,
They will.
Be prepared for this, especially since the adjournment of the Barnes and attributed KLM v VDL case. A good read through this Ryanair forum will explain this.
Do get your case rolling and into the legal system, Vaubans guide and my post #569 explain how.
The road will be long, but believe me - when what you are due transpires it'll be worth it.
Good luck and keep going.Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.
Current known score:-
Dr Watson 35 - 0 Ryanair / Ince and Co
Go to post 622 on the Ryanair thread to read how to sue them safely.0 -
Same flight, different date, same delay. How on earth do they get away with it. How many faults can they keep having. I have gone to Bott and Co, if you didn't want to claim yourself.0
-
27& and 25 Euro a head seems steep.
I wonder how much court costs they have paid? None I bet!0 -
pool-hustler > pursue Ryanair yourself then (after all this is a money saving site) - there is a distinct possibility any decent NWNF will convince Ryanair to pay up before court action particularly if Ryanair have already paid the NWNF on the same flight. Some regard the NWNF fees as steep (I do) but if you are not prepared to do the work yourself then better to have something rather than nowt.0
-
As some of you know, I won my claim myself. Because it was worth a lot of money. But folk should be clear that if they're engaging a NWNF lawyer then they are paying for a professional service - like an architect or a private physician. These people do not come cheap, and nor should they.
So either do it yourself or pay a professional a proper amount to do it for you. As my father says, you pays your money and takes your choice!0
