An update on my current case going through Liverpool vs Ryanair. They had until 12th March 2015 to respond, surprise, surprise they didn't.
Left it a week or so and rang the court and was given the advice to complete the appropriate document requesting that they find in my favour, which I did.
Received a letter from a solicitor acting on behalf of Ryanair who has, allegedly, been trying to contact me, proposing potential settlement.
Was seeking compensation of 800 Euro plus interest @8% and the court fee of £70.00 - the offer is 700 Euro in full and final settlement.
That said, their letter does say that my claim could be struck out as I have only claimed in my name and the other claimant (my wife) did not sign the statement of truth nor been named as a claimant.
As a rule, I never accept the first offer, but just wanted to seek advice as to whether, in the current climate, I might be best to accept or go for my full request?
Looks like the admittance of blame though is accepted by Ryanair.
As ever, any thoughts or comments are very much appreciated.Nil Satis Nisi Optimum

I would not give Ryanair the benefit of your generosity.0

Hang tough - if they're prepared to settle, they'll pay out the full amount because they know they don't have a case. They're pathetic.0

dartilov,
Good advice from two of the best there, you've effectively won.
Don't settle for any less than you are entitled to.
Good luck and keep going.Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Liverpool? You couldn't ask for a better set of Judges to hear your case, Liverpool Judges are the most renowned flight delay experts, there's no way they would let Ryanair off the hook, I can only add stand firm and don't settle for anything less than your entitled to.

Impulse1976,
Use the templates on here and if you like send it as an attachment with RA's online form.
Whatever you do, you will need to instigate court proceedings to get what you are due out of them.
My post #569, explains how to do this.

Hi all,
Just a quick update on my case....
After the Allen case the Court rejected the stay Ryanair requested and gave them until Friday to respond. Ryanair have now requested another stay until the the conclusion of Kelly Barnes v Ryanair case, which the Court has now granted (without hearing)!
I will now make some small updates to the letter very kindly supplied by Dr Watson and write to the Court to have the stay set aside again.0
