Flight delay and cancellation compensation, BA ONLY

Thanks JPears - I have two questions:
1. Does anyone know what BA email address I can send the NBA to?
2. Is the Deadlock letter something BA can send me via email?
I already have a communication channel open with BA via my original dispute, so I will ask these questions but I have a feeling that they won't give me a straight answer to either...0 -
So I booked flights to Hong Kong from Inverness on the 08/01/2018 and the flight is cancelled which has been changed as a result to the 09/01/2017 with British Airways.
Am I entitled to compensation as I am not sure if this would be classed as a cancellation or delay.
Flight numbers are the same and the times are the same but just one day late.
Can anyone advise?0 -

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find the reason/cause of delay information? BA have just "refused" a claim as they said the delay was due to a bird strike (which I know they don't pay put for), however on the day of the delay I found information which said the plane had been reported as damaged 3 days before the delay but cannot access the information now (and didn't screenshot it). I'm wondering if there is public record anywhere or are they trying to fob me off?
Botts online seem to think there is a claim of 600euro.

Bird strikes usually have to be reported and recorded by CAA I think.
If Botts think you have a valid claim, then continue, starting legal proceedings usually forces the truth. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I booked return flights to Vancouver from Manchester via LHR for myself and my wife.
Ouward journeys were fine but the return wasnt.
Our aircraft arrived an hour late at Vancouver so when we checked in, the desk staff gave us our boarding cards for both legs and explained that the flight would take off late.
Just before boarding at Vancouver I noticed that Staff had changed our original connecting flight from LHR to MAN and put us on a flight five hours later.
We did arrive at LHR nearly an hour late and we then had to wait over five hours for our onward flight to Manchester and we arrived at Manchester airport five hours after our originally booked time.
I applied for compensation and BA have agreed to pay for our delay but have calculated the compensation on the distance between LHR and Manchester so we fall into the lowest compensation level.
Am I right in believing that the distance used to calculate compensation should be the full distance from original departure point (Vancouver) to destination (Manchester)?0 -

Yes, your interpretation is correct, but BA will contest it. When they do just ask them to refer your case to CEDR who should adjudicate in your favour.
BA do this all the time and the CAA allow them to. The regs say they should be interpreted strictly but the CAA don't seem to understand this wording or meaning. No surprise that the airlines constantly try it on.Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0
