The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
Hi,
I have recently put in a claim with TUI, I have received a generic response rejecting the claim citing hidden manufacturing defect with no additional information. I am going to respond by requesting information behind the issue, is there a timeframe which TUI has to provide me with this information or should I just give them a reasonable response deadline to come back to me with the information?
Thanks in advance.

Hi wozmand - what were your flight details - date, number route etc. Was your flight cancelled, delayed or were you denied boarding? Perhaps we can throw some light on the matter before you contact tui again. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

This could be related to the sudden withdrawal of their fleet of 737 Max aircraft. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0

That's the one; my favourite line I overheard one of the TUI staff saying at about 2pm was "It's on its way!" That's appalling, food vouchers is mandatory I think regardless of fault. We didn't even ask, they just gave them to us at check in.brewthebear wrote: »My response was same from TUI so I have gone through Bottomline solicitors I sent them a copy of Tui reply and they have took case on I would rather get something via them than Tui keep refusing and it saves on the stress levels.
Good to hear you're taking action, let me know how you get on. TUI haven't replied to my latest email (seems to be a theme on this thread) so I need to chase them up.0 -

Flight delayed 6+ hours from Malaga. Reason given by flight Captain was technical problems with GPS affecting inward flight TOM2742 from Manchester. Tui have responded claiming hidden manufacturing defect- no compensation.
Apparently the same tech fault affected 2 separate aircraft so Tui sourced a Dreamliner to bring us home.
Does anyone have any additional information prior to me making a claim via CEDR or MCOL.0 -
They will have to produce all the records in Court and also have to notify the CAA and the manufacturer. They will have to produce all those records as well. Have you put the details into EU claim?0

Thanks, Legal Magpie, I have put flight, etc into Bott’s calculator which shows I would have a claim. Is this what you mean by ‘EU claim’ ? My post was to try to build up a picture of the actual events from others who were delayed.0

Bott online uses EU Claim. The results aren't always the same so it's worthwhile checking both.
