Well reading up on MCOL in a couple of places if the airline submits an Acknowledgement of Service with a full defence then they have 28 days from the date of service and the date of service is considered to be 5 days after the date of issue.
So this means I've still got five days to wait and even though the button is there I can't hit it0 -

I have a similar experience to Tony (? - I'm new to this forum so hope I'm doing this correctly). After many letters have just received compensation for 2 adults, but not daughter, who was about 10 at the time. They stated no compensation for infants and free child places, but she was neither. Any advice welcome! I want to argue further and clam compensation for daughter . Should I hold off banking the cheque while I fight, or am I ok to bank it while I continue fighting. Thanks for any help.0

After a delay flight of just over 24 hours from Male Airport (Maldives) to Manchester in January 2011, I decided to try and claim back the maximum amount that could be claimed for a delayed flight in 2013. I wrote to Thomsons and asked them for 4 claim forms which were promptly sent. I then forwarded all the details that they required (sent Royal Mail Special Delivery). After not receiving any confirmation from them after 4 weeks I wrote to them again, enclosing all the details (again) and waited for a reply, nothing was received. I then went to the CAA, forwarded them the details and waited. Six months later the CAA wrote to me to say that Thomsons had ignored their repeated requests for details of the delayed flight and there was nothing they could do. I then decided to go to Bott & Co solicitors who said they would take in my case but after looking at their costs I decided to deal with it myself. I took Thomsons to the small claims court (all done online - MCOL) and paid £105 court fees on 23/12/14. Thomsons acknowledged that they had been served on 6/1/15 and stated that they would fight it. After not receiving any defence 3 weeks later I asked the judge to make judgement which was issued on 4/2/15. Today I have received a cheque for £1,988.31 from Thomsons!! All I can say is persevere and do not be bullied or scared from continuing with what is due to you. I took the big boys on and won!!!!0
