Had a letter from Thomson today turning down my claim for the Sanford to Gatwick flight (TOM071 on 30-4-2014) due to a "hidden manufacturing fault". Given that they haven't actually told me what the fault was I guess they expect me to just go along with this....
This is utter rubbish from Thomson. Unfortunately you will only get the truth when you start litigation. Read Vauban's guide, send an NBA then start a court claim.0 -
Check out Vaubans Flight Delay Guide, you will be glad you did....

Thomas Cook Claim - Settled Monarch Claim - Settled0 -
Yeah, hidden manufacturing faults can really only apply to brand new aircraft types such as Dreamliner. If a manufacturer provided a faulty part to an ariline, then thats an issue between themselves, not you and the airline.
Its just the next !!!!!!!!e excuse the airlines are coming up with.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

RE: TOM 108 flight Manchester to Barbados 1.4.12, 7 hour delay -
received cheque for almost £2000, so if you are claiming for this flight delay, don't give up!!0 -
I had replies to my initial letters. They claimed earlier lightening damage to the aircraft caused the delay on 25th April and a problem with the cabin interphone system prior to the previous flight caused the return delay.
They have totally ignored my responses, including the NBA which I sent nearly two weeks ago.
Can any other fellow passengers give an update?
Hi, my partner and I were on these flights and initially started proceedings with Thomson but gave up after 3 months of very little replies and went down the nwnf route with bott & co.
I've had quite a few replies from the nwnf company recently and am hoping for a final response in the next 8 weeks so will update here with whatever my outcome is. Hopefully that will help you in pursuing your claim.

Hi I, I sent my NBA letter a while back, been extremely busy with work and preparing for Christmas, no acknowledgement, no nothing from them. My mom has been visiting me for 3 months, she leaves on the 10th Jan, as soon as she's on the plane, I'm taking them to court, they have had plenty of time, I suspect they didn't think I would follow through.......well I will, I've just been side tracked for a bit!
I hope I can issues proceedings online and I don't have to go to the post office for anything???!!!!!0
