I have had a reply to my letter of 24th January 2014 from Thomson rejecting my claim stating the 2 year rule. I have read through all the pages on here for info. What do I do now? Complain to the CIA? Has anyone on her been on this flight?

Cut out the CIA - don't think they would be interested although probably a lot more help than the CAA. Off to court with your claim either DIY or NWNF.

I definitely want to hear what the CIA have got to say about the matter :rotfl:

Alternatively, have a read of the FAQs on page one, including the what to do next link high up.

Sorry Vauban, just found 'what to do next'. Don't fancy diy, changed home insurance, therefore can't use them. Thinking about trying the NCNF route. Do I still write them the letter about 'notice before action'?

May as well leave this to the NWNF.

I suspect GOAGOER`s case has been transferred there, like many others for the judges there to start case management. I spoke with someone last week from Stoke who is having same problem - his case is also transferred to Liverpool. I have found court staff at Liverpool are fairly good at helping - so as suggested by others a call may help.[/QUOTE]

I did call Liverpool court today. My claim has been transferred there. They have no record of Thomson filing a defence so requesting judgement is the next step. However there was no longer the option to do this online. I rang the court again and was told that because the claim had been transferred to them, judgement needed to requested by post, despite my original claim being done online. There was also the option of
downloading, completing, scanning and emailing the form to them, which is what I did. (Form N225)

Well lets hope you get your dues. Remember they can still apply to set aside at any time after a default judgement.

Well that is odd - give the court a ring and ask. Generally, the convention is no later than a fortnight beforehand.

What sort of hearing are you scheduled for? What exactly does it say in the order?

    Thanks for the reply.

Its down for the Small claims Track
    Gives location and date.
Ask for a fee for the court appearance.
    Suggest mediation.
    Thats it...

Does not say who to pay the fee too..
What address it should be sent to..
Also has the shortest "opening" hours I have seen at 10:00 till 14:00 and closed for lunch..

Time to progress my claim, I've left it on the back burner for a month.... How do I get Thomson to tell me the reason for the flight delay before I submit the case to court? I've asked but they just ignore me and send me the standard 2 year claim limit letter (3 times)

I went down the CIA route but they were worse than CAA. KGB is definitely the way to go.
