Has anyone else submitted a claim yet to Thomsons with regard to the delay on 24 December 2013 from Gatwick North Terminal?
You will likely be able to claim reimbursement of refreshments if nothing was supplied - as part of the 'duty of care' if they did not provide anything but that is likely to be the limit.
If your flight was cancelled and not delayed you can claim £100 in shopping vouchers from Gatwick Airport0 -

Yes they are claiming weather BUT BA still had flights take off and some others took off from south terminal instead. Shouldn't it matter that we just happened to be an unlucky one that was cancelled?
Also what about the fact my family of 7 was on a package deal so missed half board dinner Christmas eve and one overnight stay. They have officially called our flight delayed by 21 hrs and 57 minutes due to severe weather in uk....0 -

Poor weather doesn't always stop all flights, but often reduces the capacity of an airport - so a number of flights regrettably get cancelled or delayed, even if others don't. This is bad luck for affected passengers, but doesn't change the fact that the Regulation is clear that compensation wouldn't be payable in this instance.
On missing a chunk of your holiday, this would not be covered by the Regulation: but a decent travel insurance policy should reimburse you for this loss.0 -

Linda: who is your post addresed to? (I would remove your personal details before your email is picked up by a spam-bot!)0 -
If your particulars of claim, when you initiated legal action, had this information (and I assume it did) I don't think you need to do anything else. Thomson sound incredibly chaotic!
Think your correct with the chaotic..
Today my parents had an email asking for my flight details! Send to an email address not used in an number of years..
I also received a 3 letter claiming the delay was caused by someone else, also saying that the 206/2004 is "draft legislation"
I now have 3 letters with 3 different parties been blamed.
An email to the wrong people.
A 4th letter asking for my flight details..
A DJ cant look kindly on this I hope..0 -

Dear all
I posted on the main forum but just to let you know that I was due to go to court last Thursday and Thomson agreed to settle out of court for a delay from 2010. Thomson agreed 400 euros each (2 of us) and court costs. My ex-husband is a barrister and he did the claim for me and I am happy to email anyone a copy (it quite lengthy).
This was despite Thomson saying it was 'extraordinary' circumstances (it wasn't) and lying over the distance from Manchester to Palma (to try and get the lower amount). My case was put on hold in 2010 but I didn't give up!

We are trying to claim compensation from Thomson's but they keep delaying all the time. Could you please email me a copy of your claim, hopefully this will enable us to get the compensation we are entitled to.
Many thanks

Linda,
Kerrie (Droylie) hasn't visited this site since June of last year.
Is there anything specific anyone can help you with?
