Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Tui/Thomson ONLY

I read in an earlier post that the Finnair case was the one to use when problems were found in a previous flight. Having looked at it I agree it may be different from my claim.
Is there something to use instead?
I was in Egypt the outgoing flight had a technical fault and didn't leave Gatwick until the next day, 20 hours delayed.
I think Wallentin is still the best to use for this. Look up the so-called "Third Question" which describes what efforts the airline need to do to prevent a delay and cancellation, even if presented with extraordinary circumstances. This is the best way to tackle the knock-on argument, in my view.0 -

By due date I mean the court letter says send bundles 2 weeks before court date - thats what I've done (send 2 weeks before court date) as to not do that on the courts request seemed crazy.
Toothcomb is prepared for their bundle if I ever receive it...0 -
As you have been advised above, no need to change tack at this stage. Continue as if you are going to attend your hearing.
There is no obligation on you to agree to a stay and if Thomson actually apply for a stay, using an N244, I would be surprised.
Thomson have asked for a stay via a letter rather than filling in the N244 and when I spoke to the court they said it will just sit on file as they have not actually applied through the correct channels0 -

My hearing isn't 'till February though.
Still no response to the Mediation Service either after 17 days.0 -
We were on a first choice holiday to orlando and had a 6 hour delay on the way back, I emailed first choice through their website asking if they could provide me with a reference number (we were on a thomson plane, plus I know they are the same company), I got a reply about 2 weeks late stating that the claim was over 2 years old and it's now too late! ok I know they are trying it on, but can someone give me an address where I can send a letter.0

After contacting the CAA and them asking Thomson to re look at my complaint we then received a cheque for £2,040 :money:
A bit of a change from all the legal jargon Thomson initially sent me trying to fob it off (posted a few pages back). It's a bit naughty really them trying to fob customers off.
Cheers for the help!0 -
